NOTICE: We've Moved to a Ticket System for Support

As of August 31, 2017 (12am EST) our support forums will be retired (read-only), and we will be moving to a support ticket system.  This will allow us to better organize and answer support requests, and provide a more personalized experience as we assist our customers.

    which extension will i need, if i want to enable videos for vendors? The goal is thant a vendor can upload a product video, if it is necessary.

    Hi Skruffes,

    You’d probably have to have that as a custom upload field. You might give Advanced Custom Fields a shot, there’s an article on the KnowledgeBase on how to use that on the add/edit product form. It’s for sure a lot of custom code, you’re on your own with this one! 🙂


    Any more info on this one ?? I also want a vendor video, but I’m happy with a space to enter a YouTube link…that plays the video…is this possible ?

    The way I would do it is add a custom field to their shop settings page, asking for the YouTube URL. (See the KnowledgeBase for the article on how to do that).

    Then, I would modify the vendor header (copy /plugins/wc-vendors/front/vendor-main-header.php to /themes/yourtheme/wc-vendors/front/vendor-main-header.php) and edit the copied file, and add an “if the meta key exists from the shop settings meta key and has a value, then echo out the youtube URL so the video auto embeds itself”.
