    Hi, guys. Such an awesome plugin you have here. I’ve been reading, browsing around and explore the options. Looks smashing. My marketplace (https://flyerroom.com/) offers digital downloads only and we are ready to open to new vendors. Before even thinking and do my research (my mistake) I purchase the WooCommerce Product Vendors plugin. No bad if you sell your products with few friends. But we all know when comes to the point inviting other vendors, we have a massive problem.

    Front end submission is WordPress dashboard and most of the vendors don’t have an idea what to do. Anyway, to cut the story short, I find you and I love the front end options. This totally changing the game and will make many new vendors happy uploading to my marketplace without worries.

    A few questions before I go for it:
    1. What I have to do switching between WooCommerce Product Vendors and WC Vendors
    2. Do you want login details to make quick inspection

    Good morning!

    If you havent sold products from your vendors yet, now is the perfect time to switch. You wont have to convert any commission tables if you do it *now* before sales begin.

    1.) Deactivate WooThemes Product Vendors

    2.) Delete their pages for their dashboards

    3.) Install user role editor and delete the vendor roles for WTPV

    4.) Install and activate WC Vendors Free

    5.) (optional) purchase / activate WC Vendors Pro

    6.) Now your vendors go to /dashboard/ (pro) or /vendor_dashboard/ (free). Read the KnowledgeBase articles to setup Free or Pro, the default options will probably work pretty well for you. 🙂

    You’ll find WC Vendors Free has ten times more features that WooThemes paid version. And Pro, is for the ultimate marketplaces.

    Well the only vendors at the moment are me and my partner. Not big deal about our sell history. But we have people on stand by to join. I will do this transaction over the weekend and if all go well soon we will move to pro version because we need pro support. We invest a lot si far and planing this market to keep up and growing.

    Cool, I think all works now. The only think I lost from WCPV is the widget I was using to display the vendor logo and info in the sidebar. Not a big deal really because now is on top of the single product. However, when I add logo to logo to shop description this cause the layout to move and I didn’t like it.

    I really like the idea of having a small banner on top of the products but, to be honest, if I can remove this and have a banner only over the vendor shop profile this will be splendid. Hope this make sense 🙂 and here is just example of what I look to achieve – https://creativemarket.com/DESIGNROOM1229

    Is the PRO version have more compatibility options?

    Ok, just faced another small issue. If you can see from the screenshot I attached I am log in as a vendor and in the dashboard, I can see Jetpack setting, PushCrew Setting, and most important All Users and orders.

    This is not really good. Any idea what I am missing here.

    Hi Ben, thanks for your superb support and quick reply. Moneywise is not an issue. We are really pushing to make this marketplace working and being user-friendly for vendors and customers. Without investment, this won’t happened. We all know that.

    We did a custom design for vendors but now is the question to find the right person to make it work. So far we have one proposal but wanted to ask if you do this type of service. And if you offer custom work, what will be the cost? No idea really, just trying all my options before decide where the money will go. I have attached the screenshots for you to see our idea.

    Regarding the widget, PHP is not my thing. Not yet, anyway and I will leave it for now till a decision is made what is our next step.

    I am sure we’ll make it work. Just need to happen really soon 🙂

    I did what you suggest with the products and not sure but don’t see much difference. Log in as a vendor I still have access to all users and orders. You know I can’t allow vendors to see other users info or orders details from other vendors.

    Anna @fervous can work with you on any layout customization you might need. I suck terribly at styling things. My famous artwork drawn by hand is a square with a triangle on it to make a house. Rewriting your add/edit product form to look like that would probably take a fair amount of styling time and investment too but Anna will contact you on it.

    If you tell me what you want the widget to do exactly, I might be able to wiggle that into the custom coding job with Anna. We’re cheap, $49/hr, and we work fast because we know our own codebase. Figure 2 hours on a widget customization and 3-4 hours on a add/edit product from customization.

    Log in as a vendor I still have access to all users and orders. You know I can’t allow vendors to see other users info or orders details from other vendors.

    What is the exact URL (feel free to cross out the domain name of course) of the page you are referring to? This might be a remnant from WooThemes role permissions, go to wp-admin > Woo > System Status > Tools > Reset WC Vendors Roles or whatever that wcv reset button there says

    After you settle in with Pro, let me know if you still would like some changes made to your site design-wise.
    Also, I did work with some vendor widgets in the past for my marketplace, so I will be glad to discuss custom work with you if you find that you still have this need.
    Working with the Pro templates makes much more possible for your site. 🙂

    To be honest some of the stuff in the knowledge base are not very clear. For example, I want to change the menu bar in vendor dashboard to match my website but I can’t find it. This will be good if it’s an option in actual WC vendor setting. I am just exploring the knowledge base and making notes for some questions 🙂

    If your site is https, install “Really Simple SSL” plugin. Activate it. That’ll fix it.

    After creating test user I did go over almost every process and the icon worked this time. Will keep eye on this. I presume it was something for that moment. My site is https:// and I’ll save this plugin just in case.

    Ok, after testing and setting up all for 2-3 hours now I have a small list of questions. I will open a new topic for them. However, so far all looks good and 97% I am happy. Just need to get this 3% correct and all will be smashing.
