Ben, Jamie and the rest of the WC Vendors team,

I just wanted to say great work and thank you for your ridiculous attention to support and responding to users.

I do have a question on the shipping support added in WC Vendors Pro 1.1.0. The interface is pretty simple and straightforward at this time. I’m sure this works well for most people. Do you have any plans on expanding the shipping functionality?

Here’s my specific use case. Our site is open to artisan’s who sell their own lures and fishing gear. Easy enough, right? *big sigh*

The issue is that we deal with a lot of small items being sold in quantities. For example, someone might be selling a lure which of course costs very little to ship. However, if someone were to bulk order say a couple hundred lures we run into issues with shipping.

I have a line item shipping plugin installed that allows us to define a shipping price per item and then additional rates for each item purchased after that.

I don’t know if that made sense or not. It was a bit of rambling. I guess the TL;DR; of this is, what additional support is planned for shipping, if any?

    Thanks,
    -Drew

    Hi Drew,

Thanks much. 🙂 We wanted to add a “max shipping charge”, “min shipping charge”, and a “Over $x = ship free” but the way WooCommerce runs through products and orders made that impossible. We’re looking at other methods to accomplish this for expansion in the future, for sure. I’ll make sure @digitalchild sees this so he knows people are indeed asking for it.

We always plan to upgrade and improve all features, as we have for the last few years and still do so today. Any time we can reasonably make a change to accommodate more types of sites and more features, we’re all ears. 🙂

    Ben
