ParticipantHi, we are having an issue where the pricing is not showing for variable products (the pricing is there when you dropdown the variable field but doesn’t show on the storefront or the product dashboard). We are having no issues for simple products. The issue appears to be when we add back in vendors pro as it is not there when we are just using WC vendors. We are on WC version 2.6.9. I will attach the status report privately. Any suggestions?

Well,,, you definitely need to fix this:

Checkout: ❌ Page not set
My Account: ❌ Page not setGo to: wp-admin > WooCommerce > System Status > tools : Install WooCommerce Pages

Member^^ Do that before you do anything else.
I also do not see that you have wc vendors dashboard set up? Ensure that your wc vendors pages are set- with the proper shortcodes.
Try debugging by switching to the WooCommerce Storefront theme, then test.
If the issue is still present, try deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce, WC Vendors and WC Vendors Pro and see if the variable proces work correctly in Pro.December 29, 2016 at 5:35 am #51588Ashley Williams
ParticipantHi Anna,
I have done this. I will send the system status report over to you.
This issue is still present with only Woo Commerce, WC Vendors, WC Vendors Pro activated and the storefront theme on.
The issue is currently able to be replicated and I can provide you login details? The strange thing is that if you ‘quick edit’ and press ‘update’ then the price comes back. But the ‘edit’ function is not working at all.
We have extensively trouble shooted this issue & can’t work it out!!
Please help, we are not able to launch as a result.
Thanks,
AshleyDecember 29, 2016 at 5:37 am #51589Ashley Williams

ParticipantHello, this is a rather urgent issue and is still unresolved. I just am bumping this so it doesn’t get lost in the forum. Has anyone been able to have a look at this? Thanks so much, Ashley
December 30, 2016 at 5:26 pm #51712WC Vendors Support
ParticipantUnderscores? Yea, you need to be a php coder and theme developer to use it. 🙂 Try Storefront theme.
December 30, 2016 at 5:36 pm #51713Ashley Williams
ParticipantHey Ben, I do have storefront theme on now and the problem persists. We do have a PHP developer which is why he created our site on underscores. He is now on holidays, but also could not find the problem and posted on the forum in another thread which I mentioned above. The problem at the time, was that Anna could not replicate our problem, as it was coming and going, now the issue can be replicated & I provided the logins if it helps. Sorry I am just at a loss as to what to do next with this one :). Happy holidays!

You will see that there is pricing in variation but it doesn’t show on wp Engine. If we press quick edit the price reappears but if we go into normal edit and press update nothing changes.December 30, 2016 at 6:06 pm #51717Ashley Williams

December 30, 2016 at 6:26 pm #51721Anna
MemberWhen I duplicated the Milan Beige listing- everything came up fine. You can see on your site there is a duplicate of it now with me as the vendor; the price is showing correctly. It was just a straight up duplicate of that listing.
I truly am perplexes as to what has/is causing this issue on your site. I would need to know some constancy among the listings that are not showing the price to even begin to know why this is occurring- and if it has anything to do with WC Vendors. Is there anything similar with the listings that are not showing the price? When were they listed?
I did numerous tests with variations and variable products on my dev site and could NOT make this happen.
Were these products uploaded via a CSV file or in bulk?
December 30, 2016 at 6:58 pm #51723Ashley Williams
ParticipantHi Anna, this issue is occurring for any product on our site that you go in to edit. The price is removed & the only way to bring back the price back is to ‘quick edit’. Additionally, when you go in to try and change the variations the ‘save changes button’ is greyed out. Some were uploaded via a CSV but this problem is occurring for even those products which we manually added in, it is occuring for every product on the platform except for the ‘copy’ product which you just added.
December 30, 2016 at 7:15 pm #51725Ashley Williams
ParticipantAlso, the problem is usually ok for a while on a clean site, and then ‘breaks’ again, so the copy product which you just added might be ok for now, but will then break…I don’t know if it is a caching issue or what. We are so stuck with this.
December 30, 2016 at 7:51 pm #51729Ashley Williams
ParticipantSorry one common element I have found is that if the product is published by administration rather than an actual vendor then it doesn’t break. If the product has been published with a vendor assigned to it, it does break. Hopefully that might help :). Thanks again, Ashley
December 30, 2016 at 8:41 pm #51736Ashley Williams
ParticipantHi Ben, thanks so much for trying to assist me. I really appreciate it.
I just added a product on dev.wcvendors and it appears to work fine. You can check though and let me know if I am missing something which could be causing the issue. It is called Milan Navy Beige.
As I mentioned above, I have realized that when I change the vendor back to an administrator (I.e. I just changed Oscar for Kids to an admin on our site), the problem then dissapears. It is only occurring for products which have a vendor assigned to them.
Thanks,
AshleyDecember 30, 2016 at 8:48 pm #51737WC Vendors Support
ParticipantYou bet! That’s what we do, we try to help, or we yell very loudly. 🙂
I logged into your server, and checked out your settings. I adjusted a few that are WPEngine related. Can you please test on your site again and let me know if anything changes with your test?
December 30, 2016 at 9:08 pm #51738Ashley Williams
Participant🙂
Nothing has changed, if I go into the product into WP engine & press ‘edit’ and then ‘Update’, it removes the price from WPenginge despite there being a price in the attributes. The price only reappears if I then press ‘quick edit’.
Could it be something to do with the vendor set up?

ParticipantThe vendor ‘Thomas Pie’ does work, not sure if you can spot any difference between the setups…I know our developer did use a tool to upload the other products. I don’t really want to have to manually enter 500 products though to clear out the issue :).

MemberDid you have another multi-vendor plugin installed previously?
December 30, 2016 at 9:18 pm #51744Anna
MemberI reset your vendor and pending vendor roles; It looks like you have some additional roles (seller, etc.) that came form another multi vendor plugin. If the products were set up with that system or if the roles did not properly get assigned, then that may be causing the issue.
Would you please check the issue now?December 30, 2016 at 9:19 pm #51745WC Vendors Support
ParticipantI’m confident when I say I have absolutely zero idea why this is happening. 🙂 But dont worry, there are many smarter people out there than I, such as Anna who is fulltime support here and Jamie who is the lead developer of Pro. So, worse case, we’ll bring in Jamie to investigate. But we’d have to first be able to replicate the problem not on just one website, and that’s the weird part here.
I’ll leave Anna to resume from here (bedtime!). I’m sorry I could not fix the issue for you in a fast manner, usually we’re great at that like 99% of the time. Some weird stuff from time to time. We’ll get there.
December 30, 2016 at 9:23 pm #51746Anna
MemberHello,
Looks like the WC Vendors Roles reset has resolved the issue… let me know if your testing shows this as resolved.
When your dev returns have him get rid of the tables in the db from the previous multi vendor plugin that you used.December 30, 2016 at 9:47 pm #51748Ashley Williams
ParticipantHi Anna, what products were you testing? It doesn’t appear to have worked for me for Oscar or Kids. Could it be server side caching for me?…Yes about 6 months ago we had Dokan installed and then switched to WC Vendors Pro, however, we created a totally clean site (not the one I have given you here and we are currently testing but the one Ben our developer gave you in the previous thread, it never had Dokan on it and the issue was still there.
December 30, 2016 at 10:18 pm #51756Anna
MemberI tested with the Milan Beige (not the one I added). I went to the product, clicked edit. When the product edit page came up, I immediately clicked update… when I returned to the products list view, the price for the Milan Beige was showing.
I also tested with a different product that did not have the price showing: Field Dress sold by Daughter. I used the same procedure.December 30, 2016 at 10:25 pm #51757Anna
MemberHmmm.. ok now it is not working with all of them.

December 30, 2016 at 10:58 pm #51767Ashley Williams
ParticipantPerhaps it is because the licence key is not installed?
December 30, 2016 at 11:06 pm #51772Anna
Memberhttps://www.wcvendors.com/my-account/downloads/
That’s where you can get the newest version of Pro.
You were not notified of the update because the license key is not activated. However the license key will have nothing to do with the variations/pricing issue.
Before we do any further testing, I’d like you to be current with our plugins.
However you may wish to check with your dev that he has not modified any files or templates before updating.January 3, 2017 at 7:09 pm #52009Ashley Williams
ParticipantHi Anna it is all updated. Let me know how the testing goes?

MemberHow is your testing going? Any difference?
I cannot login any longer- the above credentials you gave me are no longer working.January 4, 2017 at 2:38 am #52040Ashley Williams
ParticipantHi Anna, there is no difference since we have updated to 1.3.8. However, as we don’t have the logins to pro ourselves the developer installed the new version on the version of the site which was pre the troubleshooting u did with the vendor tables. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I will need you to redo the vendor roles reset on this latest version & we can then test that again and see if it is ok. Ill send the password over in a private message. If that doesn’t work we will then need to explore other options, I.e could it be a setting, is there something in the code, I just don’t know what to do if you can’t replicate the bug feeling at my wits end :). Thanks Ashley

Member@ashley
Please check now; the products for which the price is not showing actually need the variations prices entered. There are not prices provided for those products.
In addition, there is something to do with Shopify attached to your products now- I am assuming form the Shopify Sync plugin… so I am not sure how that is affecting things. I realize that when it was not activated this still was occurring; however, if you are uploading products via shopify sync or something similar, it may be that the data for some products is not being transferred accurately and that has nothing to do with our plugin. From what I can see now, then only items that are not showing prices are those for which you have not entered prices (or for which the price information did not get synced if that’s what you are doing).
I would advise re-listing products that are not showing the prices; then from here forward seeing if you continue to have the issue if you MANUALLY add products. For those that are added via bulk upload or with Shopify, we cannot control any issues that may occur form that listing process.
January 4, 2017 at 7:31 pm #52122Ashley Williams
ParticipantHi Anna, thanks, yes I am aware of some that do not have variation prices in them and know they are functioning as expected i.e they won’t until a price is added. The shopify plugin is for inventory syncing and has not yet been used at all yet for any syncing of inventory. The problem also persisted when we started from a clean install without that plugin entirely. The problem is that when we edit the product for a product that already has pricing once the edit happens the price then dissapears from Wp engine but stays in the variation. This problem is continuing to persist even for those showing prices – i.e you can see it happening for the vendor just Ray. We edit the product for one which does has a price and once we have edited it (even just change the description etc) and the price dissapears.
January 10, 2017 at 8:12 am #52611Ashley Williams
ParticipantHi Anna, we have a fresh install, no bulk uploads have been used or shopify syncs and we are manually entering the products. All was going well, then tonight, the issue recurred. However it has changed somewhat. Now what happens is, the price disappears from WP engine, but it remains on the ‘view product’ page, as well as in the variations….I will attach screenshots.
January 11, 2017 at 3:28 am #52699Ashley Williams
ParticipantHi Anna, just a note to let you know not to worry about continuing your investigation. Thanks for your assistance and attempts to help. Cheers, Ashley

ParticipantThought I’d post on this just to say I’m having a similar issue. A vendor contacted me tonight and told me that there wasn’t a place to put a price for variable products…In reality, we never bothered to check it before launch because we doubted we’d ever even need it…Well, you know how that goes..
I contacted the theme developer.

Have you tested it now?
When you create a variation from an attribute.. then on the variations tab.. click the arrow to drop down the variation fields .. what do you see?February 19, 2017 at 9:03 am #56735Paul
ParticipantHi Anna,
It’s not on the backend of the site, it’s on the front end only. If I wanted to add variable products from the backend, there wouldn’t be any problem. However, a vendor from the vendor dashboard has the ability to add a variable product without issue…BUT he/she cannot put a price on it.
I got a response from my theme developer, he told me to disable my caching plugin…Which I did.
Also, I need to update from WCV 1.37 to 1.39. There seems to be an issue with my license activation….Can you help me out on that?
February 19, 2017 at 9:18 am #56737Anna
MemberPaul-
Ok, understood. I wanted to know if you had gone to the front end forms logged in as a vendor and tested the process now yourself.
If you could show me some screenshots of what you see when you go to add the variable product’s details.. that would be helpful.
The price field should be visible after clicking on the variation attribute to drop down the options.Ok try activating your key again. If you are not prompted to update after that- you can manually update.
1. Go here and download the latest Pro version
2. Backup your site
3. Deactivate and Delete your current Pro version
4. Immediately upload the Pro zip you downloaded, and activate. -
