    Ben hello again:

    Woocommerce Version 2.4.9
    WC Vendors 1.8.0
    WC Vendors Pro 1.0.5
    Storefront theme

Using WC Vendors Pro 1.0.5, my Vendor store frontend, continues to originate, from within the text I enter in the USER Page field, as opposed to the new Pro vendor store POST Page. This is expected? Or is there an override that I am missing that generates the Store Frontend, from the Pro Vendor Post Page store description? I am entering all data logged in as ADMIN.

Also, I am running into a strange anomaly, that sometimes a store name URL is the username-store string, and sometimes the assigned storename string. I have played around and reset permalinks, to try to get some consistency, but strange…causing me broken links…. this is expected behavior? Something I am doing wrong?

    Thanks – GARRY, Los Angeles

    Hi Garry,

I’ll have to page in @digitalchild to answer this one for you. I know he’s made some changes in this area in the most recent update.

    Hi Garry,

Anything to do with WC Vendors is stored with the user, anything to do with WC Vendors Pro is stored with the store post type. If you already have a market place with users then when you activate pro, it create stores for all your existing users and imports everything from the user meta into the post meta. From there, users should be editing everything on the front end as we currently don’t sync the user meta and post meta. I will be adding this in a future update.

If pro is activated then ALL links should point to the vendor store post type and not the free user store. If you’re links are inconsistent then something else is happening here. Pro disables all the original vendor links and activates its own links to point at the new vendor store post type. There is an issue with the links in the cart which i’ve fixed for the next release.

There is work to be done to allow admins to edit/change store data and I’m working to remedy this soon. At the moment if you have pro activated, edit the details on the vendor stores page. I’ll have all of the front end vendor store settings showing up in wp-admin side soon. Our priority was to get all front end functionality working.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

    Jamie hello:

thanks for response, yes, working a lot of the above-mentioned out the hard way… have decided to stick with FREE for now, will patiently wait for PRO v2.0

    — which brings me to (a last) query…. I have been unable to block the VISIBILITY of my standard sidebar Widgets (e.g. LAYERED NAVIGATION) on my site.com/vendors/vendorname Vendor Store pages.

Have tried to block using standard wordpress frontend- by filtering by Page, Taxonomy, Role, Author, etc. — but to no avail.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks, GARRY – Los Angeles (and Melbourne VIC)

    Hi Garry,

We’ll have a video tutorial made this weekend on how to fix any weird sidebar or theme layouts.
