    Hi,

My vendor store pages don’t look great; the header has a big black line under it and there is a sidebar down on the left when I’ve switched off site-wide side bars via my theme. I’m using Atelier which works well with the rest of the plugin and worked well with WC Vendors free. I saw something the other day about copying some code to my theme’s functions.php file but tried it and it didn’t work and now I can’t find where on your site I read it…

I also read that you’re thinking of changing the vendor stores pages in an update. What’s the latest on this? I don’t want to fiddle around and spend ages if there’s a good update coming? any help is appreciated.

    thanks

oh also – slightly related…I’ve changed the slug ‘vendor_stores’ to ‘maker_stores’ and it has changed the breadcrumb showing up in the nav bar but the breadcrumb visible in the page’s header bar still says ‘vendor stores’.

any ideas where I’ve gone wrong? thanks

    What theme are you using?

    The update will be mid-january.

We will (most likely) be discontinuing the custom vendor stores layout for v1.3. The technical incapacities of buyers of Pro to be able to edit a PHP file to add their themes horrific and wrongly placed code has made us re-think why we bothered with it in the first place. If theme authors werent — to be blunt — so fucking dumb to code things incorrectly, the stores would work perfectly (as they do in some themes, especially WooThemes themes). So, I guess we’ll have to revert to doing it the dumb way where you will have less customization choices and less flexibility and less extendability by theme authors. We tried to do it the right way, but third world country theme guys really screwed you all on that one. 🙁 In a nutshell, the stores will still look nice, but it will have to hook into Woo’s archive-product page just like Free does. We’ll make it look as great as possible and still add as many tweaking options as possible. But showing things like categories instead of products will never be possible this way.

We’re still ironing out how we want to properly handle this to give you the most flexibility and account for the morons who call themselves theme developers with their horrid, awful, coding skills. 😉

PS — Where to find the tutorial? All KNOWLEDGE is in the KNOWLEDGEBASE. 😉 😉
