    Hello
I used to work with Drupal only and in many ways I like the system, especially structuring complicated sites with lots of contextual and conditional set up, but I have decided to broaden my horizon, to reduce my stress and pulling hair hours, and use WordPress. And have been checking different ways to create a marketplace and based on all I read, it appears yours is the best for several reasons and most importantly to me; it covers almost all bases which mean less complication.
We have two kinds of products, for now, digital and services.
    1. For digital download, I would require having a licensing system. I read one of the topics where you suggested woocommerce API manager to work with their criteria, but I have been searching amongst woocommerce site’s plugins, they seem to have one specifically for licenses, Do you think it is possible to use it with wc-vendor??
    2. For services, I am setting up a project flow using BuddyPress and some custom post types, and to set up proper security, I am using presspermit with a capability plugin. It is useful because it allows some very nice fine grained permissions. I just wanted to make sure that wc-vendor plays nice with plugins that set additional access control.
    – Actually. if this is doable, it might be a solution for one of the people in the forum who was asking about vendor based on subscription. Because he can set it up based on role, and use these to create some amazing status and capability however he wants. I already checked the presspermit site to see if there was any input about this, but he has only mentioned that if it is following WordPress coding system, there should not be any problem. Forgive me, I am not an expert coder, not to mention, I am a newbie and just learning my way around its coding system, although I now have some basic knowledge on it but not enough to evaluate this.
    3. What happens when there are multiple products from different vendors in one order?? Does wc-vendor creates some sub-order or order id specifically for each of those products??, I know adaptive payment has a limit, so does that mean wc-vendor sets this limit as well??
    4. For services/projects, I would need to create milestones which are essentially two-step partial payments, the question I have is about using a form plugin which I found one that is perfect and called calderawp(I absolutely love this form, very nicely done and has a comprehensive method and tools for variables and conditions and computation), will it be very complicated to integrate wc-vendor to these kinds of form plugin??
    5. Is it possible to allow a vendor to have staff?? I know I have to get some custom work, I am only asking because I need to know if its structure allows such things. (Actually if it would work with presspermit, this issue probably could be resolved easily)
    6. Now this one is just asking your opinion about themes. I have decided to use the ultimatum theme framework, what do you think of its framework?? I looked in ThemeForest and there are certainly some nice looking themes there, particularly one called ‘woffice’, but they have some things, and missing others and then sometimes they have too much which means spending a whole lot of time setting it up, so I might as well start from scratch and build it up.
    7. You have mentioned in one of the topics that you are changing the vendor from being a post type to being attached to User ID. Is it still possible to have a vendor post type for display purposes???
    8. This is a feature request: Is it possible, to have a Fund-wallet for members? Something with three actions with their own permission, like Deposit, Transfer and withdawal.

1.) Yes, but you would have a hell of a time getting it to work. You would have to custom code each digital downloads updater and API access. It is not something you want to do.

2.) I dont know, you’d have to test this, too. Integrating with custom anything requires you to try it and see what works, and code up what doesn’t.

3.) It just works, no sub orders. PayPal is fine up to 6 vendors in one order for splitting commissions instantly. Above that, you’d want to schedule payments, not use instant commissions. Or, use Stripe.

4.) Custom coding, you’d have to integrate. Complex? I don’t know, it’s your job to find out. 😉

5.) I dont even know what this question means….

6.) I’ve never used it, it’s your job to test theme frameworks. We just write plugins, we’re not theme guys at all.

    7.) Nope.

    8.) Nope.

With your lack of expertise in coding as you put it, and wanting a ton of very unorthodox features, I would probably recommend you hire a PHP coder who can do all the heavy lifing for you. We’re here to support you, but all this custom coding and integration stuff is all you. What you are looking to do is very complex, and will require someone fulltime for a few weeks to get everything you want done.
