    Hi Jamie,

I’m trying to update WC Vendor Pro from 1.0.2 to 1.0.4.
I do it manually since the new update is not visible in my WordPress available updates.

So I have deactivated and the deleted the old version of WC Vendor Pro. Then I have installed and activated the WC Vendor Pro v1.0.4, but it’s not working and crash the entire WordPress site. I got an Error 500 (removing WC Vendor Pro fix this Error 500).

Please how can I upgrade WC Vendor Pro properly?

    Many thanks,
    Fred

Just some feedback after the few tests I did.

In the next release, it would be great to:
    – Have the possibility for a vendor to edit a product from the Products list
    – Select multiple images from the window opened via the “Add product gallery image” link
    – Manage custom product attributes

    Many thanks,
    Fred

    Hi Fred,

    – Vendors can edit the products, as long as you’ve allowed them to under your WC Vendors Capabilities tab. 😉

    – That’s a WordPress limitation, cant do anything about that one.

    – Coming in version 1.2.0 (attributes & variations)

In new vendor registration dashboard form, branding tab is missing?

    Hello,

Yes but it wouldn’t be too hard to enable it if you want it. Just copy it out of the store-settings.php template.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

    Hi Suri,

You should always copy your translations into wp-content/languages to ensure that they aren’t overridden when you do plugin or theme updates. With regards to the CSS what problems are you having ? If it is related to the vendor stores, what theme are you using?

    cheers,

    Jamie.

    hi Jamie,

    this;
    * Fixed: Fatal error updating WooCommerce #88

was that restricting the updating of qty/variations ? i ask as we’ve had issue with what iv said, in short no update of post/stock qty resets to zero. we put it down to another plugin, but they suggest its something else. though the other plugin, when deactivated, fixes it. hence iv not mentioned it here.. if that makes any sense you’ll know what im on about lol

we are on we on wc vendors 1.0.2 if that helps, gona try the new release and retest. just saw the changelog here and wondered exactly what the fixes are and if they could be involved.

on another note, your fix number #88, whats the channel for that and for bugs and change logs so we can keep an eye on things.

    cheers

    Hi vadmin,

Variations are not supported in WC Vendors Pro yet, until version 1.2.0. They shouldn’t work at all yet on your site, so if it’s a problem, that’s not terribly surprising. 🙂 You should always update to the latest version of Pro when it comes out. There’s always important fixes in each release.

    Cheers

    Ben

hi Ben, the products using wcvendors where only simple products, as said it was a ‘update post’ issue, but only on variations, it turned out a woocommerce issue and ‘anspress’ plugin issue. 😉 nothing to do with wcvendors, i was more interested in the detail behind Jamies fix #88 as it was similar and after a woo update

also once again, is there a bug channel, so i can see whats already been reported, i could also then see #88 and understand the changes more.

    many thanks vadmin

#88 was a simple fix. Just an error in a single line of code. It would cause the plugin to not be activated when you clicked “Activate”. That was more during the internal testing than it was anything else since it was a new version nobody used but us. 🙂

    ok thanks for clarity

also once again, is there a bug / fix channel, so i can see whats already been reported and or pending for work, i could also then have seen #88 and understand the changes more and not need to ask.

    thanks

There is a private repo which we develop WC Vendors Pro on. It’s generally not available to the public since this is a paid plugin and all. 🙁

Hi, few doubts on updating versions:

    1) Today I had to delete the plugin through FTP due to an error (find attached the printed screen if it can be of any help to you guys – whatever I clicked on WP dashboard I had this screen/msg – so I gave up and went Godzila, I mean, Filezila deleting the folders through FTP).
    2) After installing the 1.0.4 again I couldn’t activate it (with key and email I had received). A message said I had reached my limit of activations. However on the Dashboard there’s a message still instructing me to active it. Now I’m lost if the activation is needed even if it’s on the same domain and for the same user when the files are deleted.
    3) Just realized there’s version 1.0.5 available. How to update it? Without auto-updater I may deactivate the plugin (delete files) and upload the new .zip – but it seems I’ll loose the configs again if I do that, right? And how should I proceed with the Key activation in case of version update?

    Cheers,

    @mpanichi

There is no built-in updater for the Pro plugin yet, but I think the team is working on that. It’s coming soon, I hope.

For now you can update your plugin by uploading the new release via FTP or directly from the WP admin panel. For the latter you should deactivate and delete it as usual. Then re-upload the new version and activate it. Your setting should not be lost in the process, but check anyway!

shame , not interested in seeing the repo, obviously we dont want that getting in wrong hands, but seeing current bugs and whats being worked on feature wise would help, forums are all great for basic config but its the dev side of things we are all then into and waiting on and half the posts are about that, so its a waste of time, well it is considering the same thing being asked and said etc. perhaps something can be sorted. at least so its clearer whats what with #88 as example, i couldnt see anything anywhere as to what it relates to, well all of them lol and at the least for paying customers, or only accounts with more than one license. 😉
