Have you all had issues with Toolset themes from wp types?

I just sent this to their support team:

I am trying to: use the pro version of the wcvendors.com plugin. i can see the dashboard when i switch to 2015 theme, but when I go there with toolset starter enabled, I get a totally blank page. You can see the blank page at http://dev.j2pmedia.com/final/dashboard. I will supply credentials to login when I get a reply so you can see it.

Also, with theme 2015 active, when I go to http://dev.j2pmedia.com/final/stores/gmiter (the url structure I have for the stores) with the toolset plugins turned on, I don’t see a store at all. If I deactivate views, woocommerce views, layouts ,and types, I see the store just fine.

It doesn’t seem like the wc-vendors plugin plays well with toolset…any ideas?

I am trying to determine if I should develop with this theme. I like it for a variety of reasons, but I think I may need to head in a different direction…

More specifically, it’s the Woocommerce Views plugin and the Toolset Starter theme that break WC Vendors. All other plugins work fine.

And even more specifically, neither the frontend stores or dashboard work with both the theme and plugin installed.

With Toolset Starter theme disabled, and Woocommerce Views installed, the dashboard works fine, but the frontend stores do not. No products or banner or description or anything shows up.

In reality, I don’t mind not using Toolset theme, but really want to use Woocommerce Views for special custom product taxonomies and displaying them. Now that I’ve isolated the issue, do you have any suggestions on how to use Woocommerce Views and WC Vendors together??

Sorry for the bevy of responses! It’s hard being an external processor in a digital world. I always press submit too fast.

I’m afraid I dont have any idea whatsoever. Like, literally, no clue. I’ve never used WP Types and Toolset or WooCommerce Views.

What is important to know, is that Pro (and free) hook into standard WooCommerce actions and filters. As long as your theme supports them, it should work just fine. If they arent in your theme, a lot of things wont work because the theme is not 100% WooCommerce compatible.

The Dashboard is not part of WooCommerce, it’s a completely separate codebase, so it sounds more like the theme is missing actions/filters that allow us to display important things on your site.

I am understanding your response. I understand the theme issue.

But if I use say, Storefront, and have woocommerce views activated, the front end of the store vanishes. You can’t see a vendor store. If I deactivate the plugin, then the vendor store comes back.

Storefront has a 100% WooCommerce compatibility rating. It’s what we use to develop WC Vendors on, in fact. (dev.wcvendors.com). I’m not sure why Views doesnt work with it, and I have no idea what to suggest to you other than asking the Views people for some help. It *sounds like* they are overwriting any custom post types with their own, which essentially will screw your entire site out of having any custom post types except theirs. Pretty crappy. 🙂

I think you are exactly right. And it’s just the Woocommerce version of their stuff not the regular. Thanks for your input. I may mark this theme / plugin incompatible for now until I follow up. I have support requests out to them right now.

@ckunderd I was wondering if you got any answers from the support as it was also my intention to use Woocommerce views. Wondering if I should invest the time now… Thanks.
