    Hi,

I can’t understand the purpose of hiding External URL and Button text for external url, since apparently nothing seems to change (when adding a product), whether the option is active or not.
Still I would like to know if it is possible for vendors to change the url of a product.

    Kind Regards

    Elsa Soares

    Elsa,
Looks like I missed this question as it came in on a holiday here in the US. I apologize. I know we’ve worked together on many questions in the past.
External URL , if you disable, I believe will prevent users being able to be directed away/off of your website to view a product or demo, etc.

The only way vendors can change the URL is to change the title of the product. They certainly cannot alter the permalinks structure.

    Hi Anna,

    Thanks for the reply.

I still can’t figure how vendors can set up products for external URL. However, as I want to prevent this from happening, I will keep this option disabled.

I went to your Pro Dashboard Demo, edited a product, changed the title but the url did not change, always keeping the initial url. I appreciate your clarification on this.

Also I’m very grateful if you can answer to my request – https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/media-library-issues/ and clarify my doubts.

    Kind Regards

    Elsa,
Honestly I do not know why the vendors would use the external product URL for anything other than to maybe provide a demo link for a download.. or something of the sort.

Admin can edit the URL of a product by going to wp-admin > products .. then select a product. Below the title you’ll see PERMALINK with the product URL. you can change the last part of the url for the product.

I have answered your other question as well regarding the media gallery permissions: https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/media-library-issues/#post-49267

    Hi Anna,

External URL – Thank you for the clarification, since I was not realizing the purpose for this option.

Change the url of a product – So vendors can not change the URL and this is only restricted to the administrator; let us agree that this is nothing practical. I would like to know if there is a possibility in a future version to include the option for vendors to change the url of a product whenever the title’s product is changed.

    Regards
