    Hi there,
    I have some questions:
    1. Is it possible to pay the commissions once the package received? I just realised that WC Vendors has the ability to add Shipment Tracking code. So I’m wondering if there is a way to integrate the commissions with the tracking code. So, instead of using a scheduled payment (weekly, biweekly, etc), I want to process the commissions once the shipment completed (delivered). Is that possible to do?
    2. My second question is just wants to clarify the definitions of Weekly, Monthly etc on the Payments tab. For example on Weekly, is that mean 1 week after purchase date?
    Thanks!

@SNOODLENOODLE1 WC Vendors does not give you functionality to do anything with the tracking number once entered. It is possible to build this functionality, but it would likely entail a fair amount of work, since you’d have to do something like this:

    1. Capture to the tracking info once entered, and pass it to a shipment tracking API such as Aftership
    2. Set up a webhook or similar API call to notify your site once a package was delivered
    3. Find the order based on the package tracking info
    4. Actually pay out the commission associated with that order, which would involve integrating with whatever payment solution you are using for your vendors, and,
    5. Finally, marking the commission as paid.

    Good luck,

    Avishai

@avishai Thanks for your reply. I have explored every single point that you’ve mentioned but I still little confused on the point 4. What do you think the best option to process the payment (commission) with this scenario? Can we use PayPal Adaptive Payment? I need some advice. Thanks!

@SNOODLENOODLE1 I’m not sure, but I don’t think you can use PayPal adaptive if you want to delay the payment until some arbitrary event like the package being delivered.

@avishai Okay. I might need to consider to use another Payment Gateway.
    I found this extension :
    https://www.wcvendors.com/product/stripe-commissions-gateway/

On the description, they says :
    – Vendors can connect to Stripe to instantly receive commissions on their Vendor Dashboard Shop Settings
    – Commissions are instantly paid to vendors who have connected their account to Stripe

With this extension, are we able to create a custom trigger to release the vendor’s commission?
So instead of release the commissions straight away (instantly) after the checkout process completed, can we ~ maybe, create a custom trigger to release the commission after the package being delivered?

If it’s possible, I will purchase the Stripe extension.

    Thanks!

@SNOODLENOODLE1 I really don’t know — I’m not familiar with that extension since I’m using the regular Stripe WooCommerce gateway, holding the money and then paying out manually to our vendors using various different payout methods.

    Okay. Thanks @avishai
    I might need some advice from Anna ~ @fervous or @ben 😀

Hopefully they will have time to leave their little advice here. 🙂

    Thanks!
