The email to the seller/ vendor they don’t see the variations. They just see the product order. Everything else is fine in the back-end. It’s just the email to the vendor. Admin gets the email 100% and the buyer gets the email 100%. Seller he/she is stuck in the mist… less a warm coffee.

Ok so custom tabs in the vendor dashboard. What I did was add custom pages in the back-end and add with custom menus in the dashboard sidebar. Would that work for you? It gives more real estate.

Tabs could be added to a custom page.

    Let me know.

I use a plugin to control what the Vendor can see or have access to. SEO is not one of them.

    Try https://wordpress.org/plugins/adminimize/

Try it on a COPY of your site. Uncertain on that also?

I use https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/ easy to use

** Yes out of the scope of your question, but ideally support should be welcome in this form 🙂

    Try https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-custom-tabs/

There are many options online to choose from. This one will work as a starting point.

Many of us are living on our own islands and have never tried GitHub – time rev up and practice and it would be a good idea for many of us to experiment to part of this. Thank you Ben

Then this is not dependent on anything within the plugin then.

Any direction of the removal of the “Sold by”?

Will removing it cause any issues?

I’m not wanting to share anything with others. I just want to provide the same notification I get for that particular vendor. Meaning the current notification only includes a commission amount and the item for the vendor. The site owner gets the full detail from tax to shipping. I feel the same template being used for the admin should be used for vendors or at least that option. I have vendors asking for the same details.

As for the vendor only seeing their sales, that’s not working in the back end with the sweet graphs. But yes the front end works.

Sounds good – The vendor ideally should get the email of the full order, they are the one selling the items. Again – just a point of view. Yes they can go online and see the entire order; but it would be nice for the vendor to see the full order instead of site owner. As the site owner, I’d be happy with seeing what I’m seeing now + having the same email sent to the vendor, just a suggestion.

Ok – my err on the understanding.

To edit the Vendor email to include the items such as the order, can this be done? Ideally it would be nice for both the Vendor & the site owner to get the same email.

I have me emails working now – No errors. Running WordPress 3.9 – But the emails are stating commission for the vendor instead of the site owner. Am I missing something here?

    Hello

I have the same issue and I’m running the same as @donpeters

Hell ya! There needs to be more functionality in the back-end – Glad you caught my wind.

I’m making a list of items for enhancements and will add to your other section of the site for suggestions.

I will get my love over to Github, also I think many of use should connect via a teleconference or some other means of making things happen.

(I know out of text on the topic on my behalf)

Yes I agree – But if the item is “not-shipped” and the vendor clicked it as “shipped” and attempts to unship, returning it back to the original state, another email is sent, the same email of it being shipped. Then they ship and the email is sent again.

Hey I’m not trying to be a box anchovies over it, but I think you get the idea. I know it’s not 100% perfect and I know enhancements are welcome. I think many of us on here have a “passion” for this plugin and we want to make it better than what it is.

But yes it works as it should – just found it could be tweaked, I will do the custom work on my end.

    Thank you Ben! 🙂

    Yes I agree.

I’m not looking to disable the email – I want the communication to exist. But clicking on the shipped link over and over will send the same email, instead of having some logic in place that will not send another email to anyone. It’s important for the customer to know and also the site owner to know. I think this feature could be enhanced. Just a suggestion Ben.

As a work around – I removed the ability to have access to adding new media via the Admin bar and also viewing the library. Works nice.

Yes I will remove this – I wanted to check if this was part of the plugin, my theme is having a challenge, time for pulling the code. Thank you Ben!

Disabled the plugins and now just running woocommerce and the plugin and theme. Vendors are seeing all Sales by date – Set-up new vendor and they have no product and they see everything.

I’m debating if its the theme. // There is much conflict if it is.

    Is anybody experiencing this?

    Another issue

Vendor can see WCVendors Tab and Customers Tab

Will need to edit permissions – unless this is how its suppose to work?

in reply to: Dashboard Reports #376

    Solved!

The dashboard reports was turned off / Role was set to allow and as a result this allowed the vendor to view all reports. I edit the roles of each user, allows for more control – but can cause some issues such as this.

    Solved!

    The reports work 100%

    Yes I agree.

Based on the landing page for the vendor, the links on what they have access to only show on that landing page. The work around is a “Menu driven by Role” and only visible to the vendor. Plus if they need to access their profile it’s in the default layout of wordpress. It would be ideal to keep all the links/ pages uniform to avoid confusion to the vendor, as we can’t expect him/her to be web savy enough to understand where to navigate. Just some feedback. Plus a method to customize what is visible to the vendor when listing a product. Example – if you have SEO plugin, I think the admin person should be the one privy’ed to this instead of a vendor who is just listing the products. Again a standard template would be provided to the vendor on what will be used, but he/she (the vendor) should only list the products, again if there was a “Form Builder” to provided a custom layout to a vendor – that would be ideal.

The customer navigation is also lacking and the layout is skeletal – needs some meat. Looking at other Commerce tools such as Magento, they offer a neat model to a customer login.

Plus from my experience the landing page for the vendor works on occasion, I need to add a “redirect plugin” based on role to make it work in the meantime.

Ok sounds good – Is there a “quick fix” for disallowing the vendor from accessing this from the back end in the plugin?
