Yeah, I just logged in again thru the test vendor account I setup and went to this page here https://gundailydeals.com/index.php/vendor_dashboard/shop_settings/ and the PayPal field is still showing up even though I have those two boxes checked to hide PayPal.

Here is my Test vendor login for you to check and see what’s happening:

Thank you! I definitely want to use the prettier more robust plugin. I checked and already have those two boxes checked to hide PayPal but it’s still showing up as you can see from the above screenshot you reposted. Do I just deactivate the regular WC Vendors plugin then to make the Pro version only available? Please explain.

    Hi Anna,

I guess I’m a bit confused on this then. I paid extra to have the Pro version thinking it had more functions, features and options than the Free version of WC Vendors. Am I missing something here?

Is the only additional feature included in the paid Pro version the inclusion of PayPal Adaptive Payments? If so, then I could have saved myself some money.

If not, what are are the differences?

If there are more differences than just the inclusion of PayPal adaptive payments, then I’ll keep the Pro version and will need whatever it takes to get rid of PayPal adaptive payments.

Please answer all questions above and share whatever is needed to get rid of PayPal adaptive payments.

Also, I need to make sure that PayPal adaptive payments remains gone thru future updates.

Thank you! Please see the attached image pointing to the rectangular box.

I kept focusing on the Place Order button and completely overlooking the “Enter Payment Details” popup / link.

Is there any way to make it stand out or instead have it so that when you click on Place Order, then it will request your credit card info?

    Thank you,

I think I pretty much understood everything about the setup process with the 2 exceptions of which plugin to use and what the rectangular box was (being forced) for and if there was a way around that…?

I just added a new test product for $1.00 and successfully purchased it bypassing all the obstacles that were previously encountered by using the correct plugin and clicking on the rectangular box and entering my credit card information:

    Order Received

Thank you. Your order has been received.

    $1.00
    PAYMENT METHOD:
    Credit Card (Stripe)
    Order Details

    MY NEXT BAG
    $1.00
    Subtotal: $1.00
    Shipping: Local Pickup
    Payment Method: Credit Card (Stripe)
    Total: $1.00

Thank you for guiding me thru the process, I was at the point of trying to figure out if the rectangular box was required or not? If so, it should stand out more to grab the public’s attention or be crafted in a different color to stand out. This may help avoid some lost sales and/or support issues.

    Thank you,
    Robert

    We’re almost there.

I think I see what the problem is. There was a little rectangular box near the bottom that I was overlooking that says: “Pay with your credit card via Stripe…Enter Payment Details”.

When I clicked on that, a little box popped up for me to enter my credit card number, exp. date etc.etc.

Is that the only option or is there a way to redirect someone to a checkout page once they click on the Place Order button and checked the “Agree to Terms & Conditions” box…?

    Please explain.

Ok, I see. So basically just copy the API keys over to Stripe Connect and then that should resolve the checkout error?

With regard to setting up my wife as a Vendor / Owner (of course she owns everything and I just think I own things) can I use the same Stripe User ID as we have setup for the business account that (technically) is the site owner?

    Hi Ben,

I just logged in and double checked to make sure the Live Publishable and Live Secret Keys are valid and in the right place as the site owner. So those are correct.

The other side of the equation is trying to add the same stripe account to my wife’s vendor account so that we can use the same account for processing and collecting 100% of the payments…and her vendor account is set to 100% commission rate.

Here is the site if it may help to see first hand what is happening when attempting to go thru the checkout process: https://mynextbag.com

Also, I can setup an admin login for you if that may help…?

    Thank you,
    Robert

I just went to check to see about adding a Stripe payment method and when I clicked on the “Connect with Stripe” button, I received this error:

    {“error”:{“message”:”No application matches the supplied client identifier”}}

Not sure if this has anything to do with the above error or not…?

So what I’ve done is setup the site for my wife and I’m using the Stripe account setup under Affordable Advertising Solutions, LLC account, set my wife up as a Vendor, and I’d like to add the Affordable Advertising Solutions Stripe account payment settings for her vendor account and set her commission to 100% and everyone else’s to 90%.

Doing it this way because Affordable Advertising Solutions, LLC is already an established legal entity with business insurance, Federal tax id etc. etc. and don’t want to go thru the expense of setting up another business just to run this site. So hopefully this helps explain how we are trying to set everything up.

    Thank you,
    Robert

    Hi Anna,

Thank you! I was able to successfully deactivate the license from the prior site and get it installed and activated on my (actually my wife’s) new site https://mynextbag.com.

I seem to have everything moving along as far as the setup process goes. However, we’ve applied for two vendor accounts and although we’re receiving the email notifications about applying, I’m not seeing where or how to approve the vendor accounts while logged in as admin.

Can you please help me figure this part of it out? Also, is there a way to add a “Register” link to the top menu?

    Thank you!

PayPal does not let you modify an approved Adaptive Payments account once it’s approved. You have to apply for a brand new Adaptive Payments account…and Yes, I did apply for more Adaptive Payments accounts.

What you see in the attached image is the 5th account that I’ve gotten approved in my attempt to get this to work and does not have the Chained Payments box checked. You can see that everything is completed exactly as you show in the instructions on this page https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/configuring-paypal-adaptive-payments/

I have triple checked all of the API keys, user and password and everything is correct. I just did another purchase and it still is not splitting the payment. The transaction is being processed but the payment is not getting split.

I have 3 other sites setup using PayPal Adaptive Payments (2 that use SmarteCart.com’s software http://smartecart.com/ and one using IgnitionDeck’s Enterprise version http://ignitiondeck.com/id/ignitiondeck-enterprise-white-label-crowdfunding/) and use chained payments and all 3 sites split payments exactly as they are supposed to.

Am I the only person having this much difficulty getting this work? Can one of you please login and at least take a look and see if you can see something that would cause this to not work properly?

    Thank you,
    Robert

Alright, the permalinks have been updated to this https://sales.shoprva.com/cart/

I went back thru the checkout process twice. Once on Chrome and once on Firefox (which had no stored cache memory of my site) and in both transactions the payment processed successfully but did not split.

If I can please provide one of you with my information and see if you can process a payment and/or login and see if there is something I’m overlooking…?

Please select this item to purchase: https://sales.shoprva.com/product/test-item-2/ (which is a product under Affordable Advertising Solutions, LLC using [email protected] PayPal email)

When checking out please use the following information:

    10391 Indale Court
    Glen Allen, VA 23060
    Email: [email protected]
    Phone: 8044000276

At PayPal checkout page use the following Login:
    Email: [email protected]
    P: Spiderman4

Please let me know if you notice anything out of the ordinary that is preventing the payment from being split. Stripe is working perfectly fine but not PayPal.

    Thank you,

    Hi,

I’ve spent the last week working with PayPal’s merchant support team setting up and testing out 3 additional Adaptive Payment accounts according to the instructions you provided and no one can figure out or understand why it will not split payments on my site using the WC Vendors plugin. This make a total of 4 Adaptive Payments accounts that we have setup and tested and cannot get either one of them to split payments after the payment gets processed.

Can someone please login to my site and see if you can help figure out why the payments are not getting split?

Here’s a video of the last transaction I just processed showing that the payment did not split:

After all, this was the main reason for my purchasing your Plugin for $149.00.

I feel like I’ve wasted an entire month on this one hold up.

Please either help me either get it resolved or refund all my money back.

I setup PayPal Adaptive Payments exactly as you show in the instructions and none of the payments are getting split up. I’m receiving an email to my Vendor Store account but the money is not making it to the PayPal account. All the money is going in to ShopRVA’s PayPal account.

    Hi Anna,

I’ve run 3 transactions thru the PayPal checkout and NONE of them had payments split. I then reached out to PayPal Merchant Support to see if they can help me figure this out and how to fix it and here is what they are telling me. I know for a fact that there is a verified PayPal email added to my vendor store that I setup under my other business. Please read below and help me figure this out. This is going on 4 weeks now that we have not been able to get PayPal Adaptive Payments working.

    Robert,

The Logs that I found did not have a secondary receiver set, so there were no instructions to our system to split a payment. I will definitely need the API request from you showing that other receivers were set in the request in order to go forward with this.

    Thanks,
    Robert

    Anna,

I just completed a successful purchase transaction as a consumer by purchasing a $2.00 item from RVA Solutions (vendor storefront) and then logged in to both ShopRVA’s & RVA Solutions Stripe account to see what occurred.

As you can see from this video here https://youtu.be/S2lnPuYlM-M there’s a few things that are not making sense.

Also, you can see from these two Stripe Dashboard screenshots, the up to date activity that just took place.

I do have the commission set to 10% so that we collect 10% of each item sold. Should it be set to 90% so that the vendor gets 90% or keep it set to 10%…?

    Thank you,

    Anna,

I finally got the Stripe Connect setup. Now I have a question about a live transaction that I just completed after going thru the steps to connect STripe to my Vendor account.

I went thru the process of purchasing a $2.00 item using the Stripe Checkout as a consumer would have to do (from my vendor store) and the payment processed successfully. The only thing I’m not seeing in the emails that were sent, nor the 2 Stripe accounts that are involved in the transaction (one for ShopRVA and one for Affordable Advertising Solutions) was there it did not show any commission split coming to ShopRVA from Affordable Advertising Solutions.

Can you please see this video and see if this is the way things are supposed to be happening or if there is some other setting or option to enable for the commission to show being split off…?

    Here is the video: https://youtu.be/tTxffnoCA0s

Ahhhh!!! That’s what it is! I tried the Development Client ID and that’s taking me to this page here: https://connect.stripe.com/oauth/authorize?response_type=code&client_id=ca_9HfntqQRmcyjnKlIGnCXBABSXtk65f9O&scope=read_write

Should I be using the Development Client ID or the Production Client ID in the WooCommerce Payment settings for Stripe Connect?

    Anna,

I went thru the steps to setup the Stripe Connect as you instructed. I also double checked to make sure the API keys were correct for both LIVE and Sandbox mode.

Here is the screenshot of how I have it setup: https://sales.shoprva.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Stripe-Connect-Settings.gif

For some reason the Stripe Connect button is still taking me to the error page.

What am I overlooking for this to not work right? Please explain.

I may have a clue as to what is wrong. With regard to the client ID…am I to get that from either the Development or the Production field showing in the image attached in this message? IF so, please tell me which one I’m supposed to use?

    Thank you,
    Robert

    Hi Anna,

As you can see in this video here: https://youtu.be/6LpWJvnKdmU

I logged in to the Vendor / Storefront account that I setup under one of my other businesses and am getting the error showing in the video when I click on the “Connect with Stripe” button.

Here is the login for my Vendor account so you can login and see firsthand:

Please let me know what needs to be done to fix this…?

    Hi Anna,

With regard to the settings for PayPal Adaptive Payment settings, I notice that there are three options for PayPal within the Settings -> Checkout area. There’s a “PayPal”, “PayPal Powered By Braintree” and “PayPal Adaptive Payments”.

(You pointed out to me that with Stripe to delete all other Stripe plugins, which eliminated a javascript error and allowed me to complete the checkout process.)

With regard to PayPal, I’m not seeing any plugins for PayPal even though the 3 options are showing up. Should I look for a way to delete the regular PayPal and Braintree options…only leaving the Adaptive Payments option or just ignore the other two altogether? I want to make sure that they are also not causing any conflicts as I work to get the Adaptive Payments setup successfully. Please explain.

    Thank you,
    Robert

So I’m having the following problems with Stripe:

    1. You can see here what is happening: https://youtu.be/1Gr1RL0vjME

    2. When I attempt to checkout, I’m getting the following error and am not able to complete the checkout process: Error: Please make sure your card details have been entered correctly and that your browser supports JavaScript.

    3. There at two Stripe settings in the admin panel, one for Stripe Connect and just Stripe. Why are there two options and what is the differences between them and which one(s) are needed or should we use?

    Thank you,
    Robert

    Hi Anna,

Thank you for posting the updated instructions. However, it’s still a bit confusing because you have to state who the Primary Receiver is and how the fees are split and the only way you can do this is by checking the Chained Payments box.

Can you please watch this video overview of what I’m running into and answer the two questions posed in the video?

Please provide a set of clear instructions.

    Hi Anna,

Your reply contradicts what you show here in your instructions: https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/configuring-paypal-adaptive-payments/

You show the Chained Payments selected but yet your reply just now states to not select Chained Payments. Which is it?

Can you please provide a clear set of instructions so we can get this setup and not have to keep going back and forth?

    Hi Ben,

If the vendor does not setup a Stripe account…

    1. What happens then?

    2. How are their orders processed?

    Hi Anna,

I do need some additional clarification on this (as I’ve been dealing with both PayPal Adaptive Payments for over a year now and going thru the hassle of getting merchants to setup a PayPal account has been like pulling teeth and I’m not that familiar with trying to get them to setup a Stripe account) to figure out the easiest path of least resistance to make it simple for merchants to get setup and using this Vendor Storefront Plugin.

    1. Is the merchant / vendor is required to also setup a Stripe account or are they just processing through the Stripe account we setup?
If you are using our Stripe Gateway & Commissions plugin, which uses Stripe connect, then yes- they must connect an existing Stripe account or set-up and connect a Stripe account, which they can do straight from the “connect to stripe” button that will be in the vendors dashboard > settings > payments tab.

QUESTION: You state that “If you are using our Stripe Gateway & Commission plugin, which uses Stripe Connect”…(which I am, I did purchase it to use it) What other options are there for using Stripe so that a Merchant / Vendor would not have to setup their own Stripe account and be able to use mine and still be able to split payments? And who then would pay the fees? Please explain.

    Thank you,
    Robert

    Hi Anna,

Before I could call PayPal today, they had already approved my Adaptive Payments account. I have several other Adaptive Payment accounts setup with PayPal both with SHOP RVA, LLC and one of my other companies.

I took a screenshot of the information I put into the Adaptive Payments application that PayPal approved, however, I need to get confirmation from WC Vendors Pro Plugin that it can work the way I have been approved for the Adaptive Payments account…?

Also, you’ll notice that I did not chose an option as to who pays the fee because I was not sure who to set as the Primary or Secondary Receivers. But as you can see from the way they approved it, I have the Merchant / Vendor setup as the Primary and as the party responsible for the chargebacks and refunds.

Based on what you see, should I still call PayPal to get the option updated as to “who pays the fee”?

Here is the link to the screenshot of the information I declared and got approved. https://sales.shoprva.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/AdaptivePaymentsApproval.gif

Please let me know if you need any additional information from the rest of the application?

    Thank you,
    Robert

    Hi Anna,

I cannot tell if this is working right or not. I can see the shortcode on the page for Pro Dashboard but when I click on it while logged in as a vendor/merchant I’m being told:

    Pro Dashboard

    No Permission.

What is up with this? If I approved myself as a vendor under a different user id and successfully added products, why can’t I access the Pro Dashboard? Please explain how to fix this.

Here is the URL that I’m apparently being sent to when I click on Pro Dashboard while logged in as a vendor that is showing “No Permission” https://sales.shoprva.com/index.php/dashboard/product/edit/68/

    Thank you,
    Robert
