Yep that got it. Cheers.
Also, these shop headers are now soooooooo much nicer – especially on a smartphone. Good work guys.
NinoParticipantHi Ben,
In regards to the third point raised by @netteran the store header for an individual vendor is no longer displaying the Shop Description. Instead the header is made up of the information for whatever the first product that user uploaded.
I’ve uploaded a screenshot for you.
Instead of ‘Joe Bloggs’ as the store name, I now have ‘Sample Competition Prep’, which is the name of the first product this vendor uploaded. That title also links to that particular product.
The Lorem Ipsum description you can see is the product description.
Cheers
NNinoParticipantThanks for that – worked perfectly.
That was driving me mad!
NinoParticipantYep you were right; it was a CSS issue and I just crushed the little SOB 🙂
Nice one.
Looking forward to v1.2 btw!
Cheers
NNinoParticipantUnderstood re PayPal
Ok that sucks. Any idea where I could start looking to debug this? Connecting to Stripe is pretty important…
Cheers
NNinoParticipantHey @Priya
Sorry to revisit an old topic but did you manage to fix this? I’m having the same problem with the ‘Enfold’ theme. Can’t find the bug anywhere.
Cheers
NinoParticipantOne other thing…
How do I get the contents of this new field to show in the ‘Users’ section of the back end so I can review the information before approving?
There isn’t a template for that so kinda lost.
Cheers
N
NinoParticipantCool. I have it working but it’s just a single line field. How do I make it a text area?
I tried the obvious ‘textarea’ for ‘type’ but it didn’t work.
Cheers
N
NinoParticipantNo worries found it.
Thanks for your help, Ben!
NinoParticipantOk cool I’ve give that a go.
Where can I find said Advanced WooCommerce group by the way?
NinoParticipantHi Ben,
That’s what I was doing but I get the following error when set to X-Accell or Force Download:
Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /wp-content/uploads/woocommerce_uploads/2016/01/example_file.pdf on this server.
I can do what you are suggesting with the setting on ‘Redirect Only’. Is that still secure and all that jazz? Any drawbacks?
Cheers
Nino
NinoParticipantCheers Jamie
NinoParticipantNinoParticipant^ Couldn’t get that gist to embed haha
NinoParticipantOk cool.
I added the following code and it works. I put it in functions.php. Is this correct?
NinoParticipantUPDATE:
I’ve changed the defaults to ‘yes’ in wc-vendors-pro/public/forms/class-wcvendors-pro-product-form.php
This works perfectly but I’m guessing this isn’t exactly upgrade proof…
I also removed <?php WCVendors_Pro_Product_Form::product_type( $object_id ); ?> from the product-edit.php template
Which I’m guessing is upgrade proof.
NinoParticipantUPDATE:
I unchecked the ‘Enable Stripe Checkout’ in WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout and I now get the inout fields directly on the page instead of in a modal.
Still, the modal option isn’t working…

This post makes me want to clarify something before the upgrade to 1.2 is released. Are vendor stores being removed completely? If so what is going in their place?
I just re-read the email you sent at the last upgrade and you talk about hooking into archive-product.php but this means absolutely nothing to me and I don’t know what the practical implications of this are for me as the store owner and individual vendors.
Cheers
Nino
NinoParticipantSweet.
Cheers Ben
NinoParticipantOk cheers, Ben.
I’ll give it a go and report back.
Nino
NinoParticipantOk great. Look forward to it.
NinoParticipantHi Ben,
Was this fixed in the latest update by any chance?
Cheers
Nino
NinoParticipantOk great I’ll take a look.
Cheers
NinoParticipantOk cool. Cheers 🙂
NinoParticipantHaha. It’s ok I know some CSS. Does putting it in style.css make it upgrade-proof?
NinoParticipantWell whaddya know!
Nice one 🙂
NinoParticipantOk cool.
Cheers
NinoParticipantOk great.
Cheers Ben
NinoParticipantTake my money!!!
Thanks again, Ben.
Looking forward to getting started 🙂
NinoParticipantThanks for the super-quick response. All correct answers too lol
I have just one more that I’ve thought of.
Is it only verified purchasers of a product that can leave a review?
Thanks
