@BEN Thanks for coming back on this issue as I am finding it extremely difficult and I’m currently looking for alternatives to WCvendors/stripe connect plugin, which I am really reluctant to do as apart from this Stripe issue it’s been working really well for me. This is so frustrating as I was one of the first to buy WCVendors pro and at the time I found the support second to none and when a similar error occurred with Stripe, you and Jamie looked at my account and got to the bottom of the issue quickly. For clarity – I wasn’t asking Anna to test any plugins for me; I was just asking her on the off chance that she knew of any reported plugin issues in terms of compatibility and to try and give a clearer picture of how I’m running the stripe connect plugin in case she knew that this could possibly be the cause of the problem.

    @fervous
I appreciate you think that I should update to the newest version, but you’re asking me to pay a significant sum of money for something that you not only can’t guarantee will work as it is intended to but which you can’t even say when Jamie will be able to look at. I can’t afford to pay $149 on the off chance that these Stripe issues will be fixed. I would really hope that you could continue to offer support so that the issue which has caused problems while I did still have a valid licence might be resolved? If the issue is resolved then of course I will invest further in a new licence key – otherwise I’m just wasting time and money when I should be looking for a new marketplace solution.

In response to the above information from @NEWJoe111 it has occurred for me with only one vendor on several occasions. In fact, so far it has not happened with multi-vendor orders at all. I am also having regular issues with coupons where when a coupon is used I receive the wrong amount of commission. Anna has already come back to me about this and said that admin coupons just don’t work with Stripe connect plugin – although they used to – perhaps before the vendor coupon functionality was introduced? I find it hard to believe that I’m the only one who wants to offer store-wide coupons to their customers so i would also really appreciate if this feature could be re-instated?

I’m happy to provide detailed breakdown of information about what is happening and when but only if this is actually going to be looked at in the near future and used to try and fix the problem? I’m happy to give access to my accounts/admin panel etc and to provide any info necessary to help Jamie get to the bottom of this.

    @NEWJoe111
Thank you for your input and help on this. Unfortunately I’m not in the US – but I am looking at alternatives.

Thanks for the quick response Anna. Do you have an idea of when Jamie will look at this? Charging our customers the correct amount is fundamental and shouldn’t any issues with the payment gateway take precedence over adding extra features etc?

I was wondering if it could have anything to do with the combination of versions of plugins I’m running? woo commerce (2.6.14) wc vendors (1.9.7) wc vendors pro (1.3.7) and stripe gateway (1.0.3). I didn’t renew my wc vendors licence key in December and I am reluctant to if these issues can’t be resolved, especially as the first 4 months of having it it didn’t really work anyway – it was before my store launched so I had the patience to wait for it all to fall into place but am now reluctant to pay $149 dollars if ongoing issues can’t be resolved. But I am also wondering if not renewing is somehow making them worse?

I also wonder if you’d mind taking a look at this list of plugins to see if any are red flags for compatibility/have caused any issues you know about. It’s hard to test by deleting each one in turn as the payment issues are unpredictable anyway:

    Hi Anna,

This has also been happening to me for the last few weeks with several customers – the same as described above so I hope it’s ok to add on to this thread rather than start a new? One of my customers was recently overcharged by over £100 and this added to the issues with calculating commission whenever a coupon is used means that I can’t carry on with this plugin and Stripe as it is at the moment – it’s so disappointing as it was working perfectly at one time but it’s turned into a bit of a joke! I can’t have every other customer being overcharged. Has there been any resolution to this yet?
I want to know what alternative payment gateways I can use with wc vendors pro? Can I have a standard payment provider i.e world pay where I receive all the money and then pay my vendors manually? Will they still receive order notifications and will the checkout still work etc?

any help would be gratefully received.

    thanks
    Pip

    Hi Anna,

Thanks for getting back to me. Obviously disappointing and confusing as it did work for several months when I first launched my website. Do you have any idea approximately when these updates will be rolled out?

    thanks

    Hello,

I haven’t pursued this for a while as I’ve been unwell and just been coping with having to repay vendors commission (and also the embarrassment of having to explain that the issue is still ongoing to them!) but I’d really like to try and get to the bottom of this now I have a bit more time. I’d really appreciate some help to look at why this is happening. It wasn’t happening when I configured it all for my site and I’m not really happy with the idea that admin coupons just don’t work with stripe. I really need to be able to publish coupons that give a discount off all products. Has no-one else had this specific issue? I haven’t upgraded to the latest version of WC pro recently as my 1 year’s renewal period expired and as I’ve had this unresolved issue – I don’t know if you’ve done any recent fixes which might help me? I really love WC vendors pro in so many ways and the support when i was setting up my site was great so it would be good to know what I should try next.
    Many thanks!

    Hi Anna,

I am having further issues with this payment gateway – I had an order a few days ago where the customer had to re-enter details repeatedly and now has been overcharged so I’m having to process a refund. At the same time, there were 3 vendors’ products involved and a discount code was used and only 2 of the vendors received money – each of them overpaid and 1 vendor has received nothing. I also received too much commission. I know Jamie is busy but please can you ask him to take a look at what’s going on with my site as it’s a mess!

    thanks

    Hi Anna,

Thanks for getting back to me – I appreciate it! I will wait to hear from Jamie – it’s just odd as it was working fine and the fact that it was built to work ok was a big reason for me choosing this solution for my website as i knew the coupons would be important for us.Before i purchased wc pro and stripe connect gateway i double checked it was part of the functionality and it was – has a recent update caused a problem with it?

I will wait to hear when Jamie has had a look – anything you could do to expedite would be much appreciated!!

    thanks

    Hi Anna,

I just wondered what the next step is to try and resolve this as it’s becoming problematic for me to have to keep sorting it out for vendors as it’s been going on for several weeks now and I can’t keep saying that I’m trying to resolve it when it’s going on for such a long time!

    thanks

    Hi Anna,

thanks for getting back to me and for your explanation. i don’t think that is (or should be) happening in my case as here is my scenario (which did ‘used’ to work – back in August using multi-vendors, vendor coupons and wc pro and stripe connect gateway).

So here is how it should work:

My vendors always receive 80% of the RRP.
    My normal commission/fee is 20%.

When a 10% off coupon is used, I want my vendor to still always receive 80%, but I would only receive 10% in this scenario, so £1 of a £10 purchase. They would still receive £8. The £1 discount is covered. The vendor also pays the Strip fee on top so in practice they do receive slightly less than £8.

    Occasionally I have 15% off coupons and I would receive 5% – £50p.

But I haven’t used coupons where the vendors promised commission of 80% isn’t available.

    What is happening:

The customer buys something for £10 and uses a 10% off coupon. They pay £9.
    I get 20% of £9, whereas I should be only getting £1.
The vendor gets 80% of £9 instead of 80% of £10.

Therefore because I’ve promised vendors they’ll always get £8, I have to refund the difference manually each time.

I hope that makes sense and I can’t see why it’s suddenly not working?

    thanks,
    Philippa

    Hi Anna,

Thanks for getting back to me – I really appreciate you looking into it. Yes I have set it to ‘BEFORE’. Just a few more details in case they’re useful: The same thing happens regardless of which coupon is used. We only have admin coupons not vendor coupons active. The discount is calculated correctly at the checkout and the correct payment is taken from the customer.

    thanks!

    Hi Anna,

Thanks for getting back to me – to answer your questions:

the coupon was called ‘welcome10’ for 10% off the basket and it has been used several times over the last few months, perviously with no problems -each time with one product, same as this last time. The last time it was used with no problems was mid August. its an admin created coupon, we don’t have any vendor coupons.
i haven’t processed any other transactions with the coupon as now the site is live I’m not sure how I would go about doing this? Thanks so much for your help!

    Hi Anna,

thanks for coming back to me so quickly. I am only running pro 1.3.1 – there’s no option to automatically update – not sure why I haven’t had any of these updates? I’m running WC vendors 1.9.3

How can I update to the latest version and receive auto updates for future versions?

    Hi,

Thanks for advice – Just to clarify as I thought it might be more straightforward if i were to be manually paying them –

The vendor commission percentage – wouldn’t that just stay the same regardless of what else was going on if i had no payment system set up to automatically pay the affiliate? Is there a specific coding clash with affiliate plugins? Do you know of anyone else who has asked about and tried this that I might be able to get in touch with here? I currently have 0 budget for custom coding so want to explore any other options first!

    thanks!

When some of my vendors connected my stripe dashboard was accidentally in ‘test’ mode and my wcvendors was set to ‘live’. this meant that some vendors had to reconnect to stripe once i’d set it to ‘live'(including the 2 where the problem has happened – not that there have been any orders from those that it didn’t happen to to compare however) At the time you gave me directions for removing the users from my phpadmin before they reconnected which i did. i also noticed that i was added in the ‘test’ connected accounts section even though i had never consciously added myself as a vendor. i deleted myself from php admin and then to try and reconnect, i regnerated my API keys on my stripe account and changed them on my wcvendors stripe settings on wp-admin…i am not now listed in the ‘live’ connected accounts list of my stripe dashboard but as all the test purchases i made worked i thought nothing of it…!

could this be the root of the problem? Am happy to give access to my php admin or cpanel file manager if needed…

many thanks for all your help with this.

    Pip

    Hi Ben,

thank you so much for doing this -and on a Sunday as well. Much appreciated – this ones a big headache so thank you!!!

Yes, it is exactly that – all the wordpress/WC vendor stuff shows the amounts correctly (including the emails to the vendors, and their pro dashboard) but the Stripe account has only credited me with the fee for one of the products and the vendor has received 100% for 3 of them.

Here is a link to some screenshots http://imgur.com/a/KUBxr

i have got some products on the site set as variations – not these products and none for these vendors, but thought i’d mentioned it as i read in the forum elsewhere that variations caused stripe payment problems. when this is sorted out – do i need to delete my variations completely if i use stripe?

let me know if you need to look at shots of any other specifics?

    thanks
    Pip

    Hi,

The exact same thing happened again with a different vendor – an order was made for 3 products by one customer from the same vendor and I only received the 20% from one of the products. I’ve checked and the vendor received the 100% on thee two products. Has this happened to anyone else before? I’m hoping its an easy and quick fix.

    thanks

    Hi Ben,

On wp-admin>woocommerce>commission then the product it shows the commission paid to the vendor as £28 – the correct percentage as if the 20% fee came to me. I haven’t asked the vendor yet what they were paid as its a bit embarrassing and I want to get a better handle on what’s gone on before I do!

I haven’t set the product commission to be different for this product as far as I know – there’s nothing showing up on the product page.

    thanks

Just to add to this on stripe it shows the full charge amount as £47 which is the price of vendor Bs 2 products but my application fee is only £2.40 and it should be £9.40 … £2.40 amounts to 20% of just of the cheaper of the two products.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi Ben,

No its set to UTC already…its an odd one!

    Philippa Cambers

Yes it did – for once i had checked! 😉

On /dashboard it had the range up to 2016-03-15 and showed the order and on /dashboard/orders it had the same range but no order. i changed the date to tomorrows date 2016-03-16 and it appeared…

bit confusing! what will that mean for my vendors? should i advise them to always adjust the date forwards one day to view orders? or is there a possible fix for it?

    thanks!

    Hi,

    thanks for speedy response 🙂

No it has shown up on wp-admin>orders it just hasn’t shown on http://www.themakerplace.co.uk/dashboard/orders even though it is shown on http://www.themakerplace.co.uk/dashboard/

Obviously its the dashboard/orders page where vendors can view details and mark things as shipped etc so this is kind of essential…

I’m hoping its a user error I’ve made or an easy and quick fix!?

    Ok thanks for clarifying!
Yes a lot of work to change something so small but I am just anticipating the headache from all the vendors as they each start asking what it means/that its confusing (they’ll sound a bit like me!)…

In terms of where I’d like to change it to begin with-
    1) on the email vendor receives when they get a new customer order
    2) on the vendor dashboard landing page

Also related and even more important for me is changing the word ‘Vendor’ to ‘Maker’ in customer emails (i.e. when they receive an order note, tracking info, notice of dispatch etc). Is this possible?

thanks as ever for your help

I mean the one connected via wp-admin as I haven’t created a vendor account for myself. So I can just leave it in the ‘test’ section and still get paid my commission? If I deleted it would anything happen to any of the connected users who are now ‘live’ connections?

    Hi Ben,

Great thank you I’ve tracked them down. My own account is one of the ones listed in the ‘test accounts’ section. Should I delete that too? If so, how should I go about reconnecting?

    thanks,

Hi thanks for coming back to me so quickly. I’m a bit lost with your instructions though – where do I do the editing? is the disconnect and reconnect something that i could ask Stripe to do, or does it have to be done via my site? Sorry about this – I’m totally lost with the whole thing as you can see.

    Hi Ben,

Just to add to the above, I’ve found that when I change my Stripe account to ‘test’ mode, I can see all the connected accounts in the test area. So I guess the question is, do I need to move them to the ‘live connected accounts’ area and if so, how? I’ve asked Stripe and they just keep referring me to ask you…

    thanks,
    Pip

    Hi Ben,

That’s great news, thanks! I’m a bit worried about uploading the beta version just in case there are any untested parts of it that might cause unforseen issues elsewhere? Grouped products is a useful addition but I don’t want to risk causing other problems just for this. Have you had enough time for all the testing on it? Do you think I’m safe? or better to wait?! 🙂
    thanks

    Hi Ben,

Just wondered if you had managed to find time to get anywhere on this one? I have a few vendors who could really benefit from having this capability and we’re going live in 2 weeks so they’re all busy adding products this week and next. Any help would be much appreciated!
    thanks,

    Hi Ben,

Sorry for delay in getting back to you; I finally came down with the flu we’ve had going around here for ages. Back on track now and I’m looking to launch the site in 2 weeks time so I just need to get the last few glitches sorted out. With regards to this problem, basically any vendor who creates a product via the pro dashboard can just publish it straight away without me having to approve it. The person whose products came to me for approval added their products via the backend by mistake because they didn’t read my guidance notes! So I need to fix it so people can add a product on pro-dashboard, submit it for approval, I approve it then when its published they can edit it without it having to be approved again because I can’t have the products unavailable for any period of time once the site is live. Of course a better way would be to have it so vendors could submit edits but the product stayed live until we approved the edit at which point the product’s old details would automatically be switched to the new details with no product ‘down time’? Just putting that out there – don’t know if its possible?

In the meantime – I have my settings set as per my original post and the one vendor whose products came through for approval was a red herring. So – can you tell where I’m going wrong now? I believe another user had the same issue a few weeks ago?

many thanks as ever for your help,
    Pip

    Hi all,

I recently contacted Stripe and they have said that the vendor can initiate the refund then there is a way of creating a web hook to automatically notify the site owner that the vendor portion has been refunded and to prompt the site owner to process the site’s commission.

Here is the link they sent me. It doesn’t really mean much to me but I was going to contact you Ben to see if its something that could be added to the stripe plugin…pretty please?? It would be a super-useful addition otherwise there is a lot of manual emailing that needs to be done.

    https://stripe.com/docs/webhooks

    thanks
    Pip
