It handles billing schedules, free trials, sign-up fees, automatic renewals, and customer self-service for upgrades and cancellations.
On a WC Vendors marketplace, WooCommerce Subscriptions powers two things: your vendors can sell their own subscription products, and you can charge vendors a recurring fee to sell on your marketplace. Both are handled by WC Vendors add-ons built on top of it.
WC Vendors add-ons that use WooCommerce Subscriptions
- WC Vendors WooCommerce Subscriptions: lets vendors create simple and variable subscription products from the WC Vendors Pro dashboard, and earn commission on every renewal order, not just the first payment.
- Vendor subscription management: vendors get a Subscriptions page in their dashboard to view, cancel, or reactivate their customers’ subscriptions and add notes, and they receive emails when a subscription renews or is cancelled.
- Subscription coupons: vendors can create Sign Up Fee Discount and Recurring Product Discount coupons, and limit how many payments a discount applies to.
- WC Vendors Membership: lets you sell membership plans to your vendors and bill them on a recurring schedule, with plan-based product limits, allowed categories, and commission rates.
- WC Vendors Stripe Connect: supports subscription orders, so renewal payments are charged automatically through Stripe and vendor commissions are paid out on each one.
WooCommerce Subscriptions is a paid extension sold by WooCommerce. The WC Vendors WooCommerce Subscriptions and WC Vendors Membership add-ons both require it, along with WC Vendors Pro.
