torbParticipant
I will add my thoughts here. I guess we all have different kind of vendors and agreements with the vendors, but this is my situation:
The vendor is responsible for adding products
The vendor is responsible for shipping productsThe vendor is also responsible for rejecting the orders
The vendor is also responsible for handling returnsHence the vendor should be able to “manage his/hers own orders”, which includes a lot more than just shipping: If the customer returns anything, he/she also should have all or part of the payment in return. If the vendor for some reason or another is unable to fulfill the order, he or she need to be able to cancel the order. All the things you need to do selling online, really. And I would like to have as little as possible to do with this, and facilitate the marketplace without doing the vendors job.
torbParticipant@jamie: I totally understand this.
One of the reasons I am looking for a freelaner in this forum is the possibility to crowdfund functionality (and possibly add to the project) if enough users were interested in the end result…
torbParticipantAdvanced Custom Fields is used to add information to the user profile, but no, it is not displayed anywhere yet. Looking for a freelancer: https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/freelancer/
I guess it is not really difficult at all to code, if you know how to code…
torbParticipantI think maybe this error occurred when I started to use the Stripe gateway in test mode; the orders are “paid” (in test) but not marked as completed.
Thanks for the help!
torbParticipantYes, the error message goes away when switching theme – but the PROBLEM does not. The problem was and is still there, even with Twenty Fourteen: Vendors does not see orders at all.
torbParticipantI can’t display any orders between 1970-01-01 to 2015-01-01, and all my orders are between these dates.
Order: #12167 (September 17, 2014) – can’t be found.
I started a new thread because I was not sure anyone read this one: Please see https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/missing-orders/
torbParticipantI have updated/overwritten my WC Vendors installation, and now I get this when placing an order:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method WC_Order::has_status() in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/cardinal/woocommerce/checkout/thankyou.php on line 25
I have not received this error before. I do get a receipt as buyer. I do get “New customer order” as vendor. The order is not to be found in the Vendor_dashboard. The order IS to be found in the backend.
If I change the theme, I get rid of the error – but orders still does not show in the vendor dashboard.
ANY help will be very, very welcome, I have had this error for a long time, and I am not able to get any further.
torbParticipantI could send you login credentials by mail, if you were willing to log in and have a look. I have made a test vendor you could use to make a test order. The order will appear in the back end, but not in the front end.
torbParticipantI have used “Advanced Custom Fields” to add extra information like a profile picture… the problem right now is displaying the collected information. Adding the info is easy, though.
torbParticipantIt is. I can’t see that it got anything to do with my settings – the settings are quite easy to understand.
September 16, 2014 at 4:01 pm in reply to: [Feature Request] Stripe Connect, Could You Help Here? #743torbParticipantOut of curiosity, what is the difference between Matt’s (old) Stripe plugin and WooThemes’ Stripe extension?
torbParticipantI found a solution that does seem to work:
I am able to hide a lot from the “vendor” role by using this extension.

September 9, 2014 at 1:39 pm in reply to: Vendor not able to make anything but simple products? #691torbParticipantRemoving something and saving solved the issue. I guess the settings had to be saved, even though I had not made any changes to the standard settings.

September 9, 2014 at 1:31 pm in reply to: Vendor not able to make anything but simple products? #686torbParticipantDocumentation is always a good thing 🙂
I am not hiding anything, which should make it possible? But it is not.
Sorry for the Norwegian language, but as you can see, there is no possibility to select product type (no drop down).
torbParticipantThe store doesn’t have to be empty even though it got no shop name 😉
September 9, 2014 at 1:15 pm in reply to: Vendor not able to make anything but simple products? #682torbParticipantHm, where?
torbParticipantHi!
Any update on this?
torbParticipantOK. Configuring the store name did the trick.
Site under development 😉
torbParticipantThank you!
Is there any reason the code should list only the 2 first of totally 40 vendors on my page?
torbParticipantThank you.
A forum category for “known to work” plugins would be welcome.
torbParticipantThis was exactly was I was heading here to ask for, so it is a +1 from me.
So, what would be the easiest route to follow? It would be nice if I were able to handle vendors in the same way as products; “Latest vendors”, “All vendors”… and “Featured vendors”, selecting logo or profile picture.
WooThemes’ Product Vendors has the shortcode “list_vendors”, listing the vendors by name with a link to the vendor page. At least it is a starting point 🙂
torbParticipantIf I want to customize the vendor page, how and where can I do that? E.g. I want to display a header image for each vendor. The image is added by advanced custom fields, and is found in the user profile. But it could be any image or information, I just want to know where to begin to customize the page.
torbParticipant@ben
I am not sure if I understand you. This is a database table, right? The error I was referring to was a database error. The errors are gone, but I still got zero orders in the vendors dashboard.
torbParticipantThe error is gone, so I guess your corrections were correct? It was after all a database error, right?
But no orders show up in the Vendor dashboard.
torbParticipantIt’s not my code… 🙂 rnp_ is the database prefix.
torbParticipantOrders are still not showing, though…
torbParticipant…but the theme does not “know” WC Vendors…is it really not possible to decide which page (template) WooCommerce should use for the Vendor page? It makes no sense to show a sidebar with e.g. product categories the vendor does not use – but it makes perfectly sense to show all categories on the Shop page.
torbParticipantOK 🙂 And what if I want a different setting for the vendor page? The shop page have a sidebar, but the vendor page should not. The single product page does not have a sidebar either.
torbParticipantThank you! I should of course have spotted that… 🙂
torbParticipantCorrection: It took care of the notice, not the database error, which is now changed to:
WordPress database error: [Table ‘xxxx_db.rnp_pv_Commission’ doesn’t exist]
SELECT sum(total_due + total_shipping + tax) as total FROMrnp_pv_Commission
WHERE status = ‘due’Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/wcvendors/WCVendors/classes/admin/settings/sf-options.php on line 257
torbParticipantThat took care of the error/notice, but I do not see the order in the front end.
The vendor get an e-mail about the order, and the order can be seen in the WooCommerce report in the backend (as before) – but nothing in the Sales reports and Orders in the frontend.
torbParticipantI have deactivated every plugin but WooCommerce and WC Vendors, and switched to Twenty Fourteen. Same issue. New orders is tracked in the report, but not in the Vendor Dashboard. OUTGOING MAILS ARE SENT, though. Both the customer and the vendor get a notification about the order.
Does this notice got anything to do with it:
Notice: Use of undefined constant pv_assets_url – assumed ‘pv_assets_url’ in /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/wcvendors/WCVendors/classes/front/dashboard/class-vendor-dashboard.php on line 157Or this error under WooCommerce – WC Vendors – Payments:
WordPress database error: [Table ‘xyz_db.xyz_WCV_Commission’ doesn’t exist]
SELECT sum(total_due + total_shipping + tax) as total FROMxyz_WCV_Commission
WHERE status = ‘due’Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/wcvendors/WCVendors/classes/admin/settings/sf-options.php on line 257
It does seem rather strange that the table is not found? Can I delete the plugin and re-install without loosing any data?
torbParticipantYes, the install is rather fresh… and I have placed a test order, but the order has some problems: https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/vendor-not-seeing-order-in-frontend/
torbParticipantIt was not my intent to complain about WPUF to you 🙂 I was rather pointing out the fact that you cannot rely on WPUF for frontend submission of variable products. Knowing that, it would be a good thing to add to the product – or make a fully functional backend, as suggested in my thread found here: https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/vendor-backend/
I am very happy I have found your product. I do however hope you will be able to provide a seamless user experience – either in the backend OR the frontend 🙂
torbParticipant1. Product vendors is deactivated
2. WordPress 3.9.2 and WooCommerce 2.1.12
The orders can be seen in WooCommerce Reports in the backend, but is not listed in the frontend.
torbParticipantI do get this on the vendor dashboard:
Notice: Use of undefined constant pv_assets_url – assumed ‘pv_assets_url’ in /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/wcvendors/WCVendors/classes/front/dashboard/class-vendor-dashboard.php on line 157
torbParticipantBeing unable to offer product variants is kind of unthinkable…
