There shouldnt be any impact for either of these.
Publicize code is a hack to get it to work, it may or may not work in all circumstances, especially if Jetpack changed their support for it in a new version. Since Jetpack/Automattic now own WooCommerce, most likely they will have their own true support for this in the near future.
As for the social part, nothing we do interferes with that, unsure why it would be a problem….. 🙁
