When you added your code with the new url for the tracking provider, did you also add the symbols at the end of the url?
For example:
'http://their-website-for-tracking.com/%1$s''https://another-website-for-tracking.com/?tracking=%1$s'
The: /%1$s or /?tracking=%1$sis necessary at the end.
