Hi Anna now when I activated the storefront theme they show up just fine when I switch back they no longer do so I think we getting somewhere but should def be theme related from what this has shown (dont know if what you did fixed part of it because the storefront didnt how them either but does now) I will contact the theme developer again and put the ball in his court 🙂 thank you so much for your help its very much appreciated.
