We have discussed putting a messaging system into WC Vendors, but this is not included/finished at the time.
I will see if I can find another method, but for now, the best way to have in-house messaging is to use the Buddypress system. With the setup you are using with the Social Marketplace (buddypress), you should be able to have a good system of site-exclusive communication between your vendors and buyers. Is this not sufficient? If not, what would you like to be different, or added?
