I know a lot of people have asked about this feature and I thought I would share how we are handling the situation. We just have vendors in the US, but this would work even if you had other vendors in other countries. The way we have set it up, vendors receive the sales tax if the buyer lives in their state.

This is from our knowledgebase: (https://farmhousetouches.com/adding-sales-tax-to-listings/)

Adding sales tax to your listings on Farmhouse Touches is a rather easy process. First, you will need to email us at [email protected] with the following information.

    Your Store Name
    Your State
    Sales Tax Rate %

    Example: Farmhouse Shop, GA, 7%

Once we receive this information we will set up your tax rate in our system for your store. We will send you an email notification once this has been done. Please allow 1-2 business days for us to set this up.

Once we have set your tax rate up in the system, you can begin adding sales tax to your listings that need it.

(Best Practices: We recommend creating a master draft for your products listings. This will make listing new products go quicker for you. You can save tax settings, attributes, etc. and not have to enter them each time.)

To add sales tax to your listing:

Under the General Tab on a product, you will see tax status and tax class. You will want to select “taxable” for tax status. Under tax class, you will search for your store name. Select your store name. Click save. After these steps are completed, when someone that lives in your state purchases that product, sales tax will be added.
