    Hello WC Vendors!

I get this message when I try activating WC Vendors pro, eventhough I have WC Vendors (free) activated.
    I am using WP Multisite.

“WC Vendors Pro requires WC Vendors to run. Please install WC Vendors and activate before attempting to activate again.”

    Why is that?

Hope you guys are doing well.

So the free version doesn’t work with multisite but the pro version does?
And the pro versions requires the free version to be active?

    Why is that?

Do you think WC Vendors will work with wordpress multisite in the future?

Aaaw man, I hope I didn’t blew 150 bucks, I don’t really have anyways as a student haha

Multisite is not supported at all. Free doesnt, Pro doesnt. Just because a plugin can activate, doesnt mean it actually *works* on multisite. πŸ™‚

You dont want to use WooCommerce multisite either. It doesnt work all the way. Nor do most WooCommerce plugins. There are zero reasons you want to run WooCommerce on multisite, the reasons you think you do arent real reasons to use multisite since WooCommerce doesnt even support it fully. πŸ™‚ Just single site install and you’re good to go. πŸ™‚

I just found one of your old answers from November 15, 2015. You said:

“That’s on my todo list right now, as my active project I’ve been working on. Hopefully it will be all completed soon and then you will be able to activate Pro on Multisite. Expect it pretty soon.”

Is this project still in the works?

Thanks for your help and sorry for the inconvenience.

Alright. I guess I have to go with the single site install then. πŸ™‚

That todo list got shifted to WC Vendors Free v2.0.0 which is still months away. It’ll be a near full rewrite of WC Vendors Free. WC Vendors wasnt originally written by us, we took over development of it by is original author, Matt Gates when he decided to stop coding the plugin. This was a few years ago now of course, so much has been added to Free. And of course, Pro is over 20,000 lines of code too. We’ll be refactoring Free so that it’s in line with our Pro coding standards and methods and that would include multisite support. But that’s not today, of course, and multisite support would come with a warning that WooCommerce is still not ready for multisite itself. You may not have problems with WC Vendors at that point, you’ll just have a ton of other problems with everything else instead.

Trust me — Single site WooCommerce. No multisite. You really dont want it. I hope this has been warning enough πŸ™‚

Thanks for your help Ben and thanks for the warning.
    I understand.

I am still optimistic haha πŸ™‚

I hope I don’t annoy you with that question, but when’s that release date approximately going to be? πŸ™‚

    I found this plugin: http://woomultistore.com/

Have you heard of it? Does this plugin make woocommerce multisite compatible?

How do you share things like mycred points bewtween sites if you already have a network setup and need to do this outside the network? It kind of breaks it all then doesn’t it?

Our worse mistake in the last year has been choosing WooThemes API Manager for Pro licenses. It’s a total piece of shit. PS — Did I mention it’s crap? πŸ™‚

We’re developing v1.4.0 of Pro right now. When it’s ready, like all new major releases, you’ll get an email with the feature highlights. One of them, is a new licensing API that we wrote from scratch that should solve any goofy stuff with Pro licenses. If you cant activate it now, just sit tight till v1.4.0.
