    Good day Ben

I noticed when using a custom sequential order numbers that the dashboard recent orders displays the Order ID instead of the Order Number as it is in the orders tab. This leads to some confusion for the vendors when filling up their delivery notes.

    please see images below

    thank you

    Hi Christopher,

You’re the first I’ve heard of using those plugins with WC Vendors so far. I’d presume we’d have to modify Pro in order to accommodate custom order numbers. I’ll add it to our feature tracker to check out for v1.3.0 if it’s not terribly difficult. Shouldn’t be, but you never know. 🙂

    Cheers

    Good day

I received the new update v1.2.5, i noticed the fix has been applied in some areas but lacks in other areas. for example

    1. ratings shows order ID instead of the Order Number (sequential order number)
    2. heading on orders>view order details, shows Order Number = #0
    3. commissions page order ID instead of Order Number.

    Thank you

    regards

    Hello,

    1. This is in the template, are you overriding templates?
    2. This is also in a template, are you overriding this template?
    3. Is this on the backend?

Use WooCommerce > System Status and scroll down to see which of your templates are out of date for wc vendors.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

Aah, this wont fix the wp-admin commissions table. It’s just for the front end of Pro. The commissions table in would require a patch for WC Vendors Free. I’ll add it to our list for the next update, as long as it’s feasable to do with in it.

I’ve tried a few of those sequential order numbering plugins, but they all seem to break the Pro vendor dashboard. Order actions (add tracking, mark shipped, shipping label) all break, since the order number in the URL is the vanity, sequential order number. Is there any way to fix this?

    Thanks

    Hi Ben,

We used “WooCommerce Sequential Order Numbers Pro ” to sequence the order number, So when customer makes order the order sequence number works, where as when we go see in vendor the order number is different and the number is not in sequence, when I check that number it takes me to customer order number which is right sequence number

We are looking for solution where the customer order number and vendor order number should be in sequence, buy that way when customer calls the support center they are going to provide with order number they received, but vendor cannot find as the have order number in non sequential with different number.

We need your advice on the same.

What I meant is to have same number for order and order id

    @jaya
I do not know on this one– this is partially a Woocommerce thing- as they do not have sequential orders numbers. And to have the order numbers the same as the order id? I do not know if there is a plugin solution for that.
The reason the other more popular sequential order plugin does not work is due to how they call up the order numbers- it differs form how we do it, which is the same way WooCommerce calls the order numbers.
Sorry but I do not know a solution to your request at this time due to how WooCommerce structures the order numbers.

Is this not the same issue as has been highlighted here: https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/js-error-on-order-tools/#post-43142

In all URLs etc, you need to be using $order->id (which is the underlying WordPress Post ID for the Order), but in all display purposes, you need to be using $order->get_order_number() (which is the order number as WC displays it, and what these Sequential Order Number plugins modify)
