Hi there,
I have a vendor with ratings, but they do not show when clicking the Vendor Ratings tab on the product page. The ratings link does now take the user to the feedback page now though – thanks.

That is working as intended.

The product you asked where the ratings are, is the Silver Finger Print Heart Necklace, of which you have no ratings for yet. 🙂 When someone adds a rating for that product, it will then show up there. 🙂
Ok, so do I understand the vendor ratings correctly?….
On Vendors shop page, clicking the stars in the banner will navigate the user to the feedbacj page showing ALL vendor reviews.
Clicking the number of reviews link above the product image on the product page will also take the customer to the feedback form containing ALL of the vendor reviews
Clicking the Vendor Reviews tab on the product page will ONLY show vendor reviews where the review is for the product that has been reviewed.
So does that make the normal product review redundant?
That’s correct. It certainly does make normal product reviews redundant. 🙂 We didnt think many buyers would fill out feedback AND a review for products, but they can if they like if you keep reviews active on your shop. We would likely just remove the WooCommerce reviews all together. To do that:

Ok that makes sense.
Will the vendor reviews for the product appear as stars on the gallery pages when searching for products just like the woocommerce reviews? As that really helps encourage customers to then click through to the product page.
Also don’t suppose you have a plan to migrate the existing customer reviews into the vendor reviews at all?

I’m not actually sure we can hook into those stars to replace them. I’m unable to answer that question, @digitalchild would be able to give you that answer. Same with the answer on the import tool which I think would be handy as well.

I’ve used the User Switching Plug in (thank Ben!) to go into customer accounts to leave feedback where they had previously left a review via the old woo commerce system.
Unfortunately I do have 21 reviews/comments where the customer didn’t create an account when they purchased (I need to force customers to do that in future).
So I’m just bumping this one for Jamie to see if you can think of any way to add the 21 remaining reviews/comments to the Vendors ratings? I’m guessing not?

WC Vendors does not have a Product Reviews tab. We have a Product Ratings tab. See:

I think the Product Rating tab needs to be added by the theme developer which I’m getting sorted.
The question is should we use the built in Woocommerce reviews or the vendor product ratings? Ultimately any store owner wants the reviews and stars picked up in searches so not sure if the vendor ratings will do the same.

Reviews and ratings are two very different things.
Reviews are from WooCommerce, and only apply to that product. That’s it, no other functionality. It’s just a product review.
Vendor Ratings increase the vendors feedback rating, provide a review for the actual product, and provide the store with a cumulative review score and rating, all at the same time. It’s a way more diverse and updated system versus reviews.
If it were my site, I would disable WooCommerce reviews, and keep Vendor Ratings enabled. You can do as you like of course, it’s your site!
