I am planning to launch a marketplace for small businesses that would be selling cakes and other small items in my country and would like to know whether WC Vendors Pro would be able to accommodate my requirements. My requirements are given below:
1. There are two types of products perishable (cakes etc) and non perishable. The shipping cost depends on the weight, the type of the item (perishable or non perishable) and the zone (ie postal code). Shipping companies here charge a lot more for items like cakes etc so it’s a must that we have two different rates for the two types of products (perishable or non perishable).
2. Commission from the vendor to be calculated only for the product sold without the shipping component. For eg it Vendor A sells an item which costs X and shipping cost is Y, I need the commission to be calculated simply as follows:
Commission= X*10%
Appreciate if you could let me know if the above is possible with the WC Vendor Pro or if there is a workaround to it.

1. Well- we do not currently have a shipping calculation method based upon weight. Different shipping regions can be chosen by the vendor for a default rate, and also this rate can be overridden on a per product basis if needed (i.e. for a perishable product vs. the standard rate, which could be for the non-perishable product). Our Vendor Shipping has flat rate (one rate for national, one for international) and country table rate (different rates for different countries).2.
Commission= X*10%
Yes- this is how it is done. Our commission is always calculated before shipping cost. Shipping is NOT included in the commissions calculations.
