The “Payment”, “Branding”, and “Social” subheaders under the “Settings” header within the Pro Dashboard do not function. There is a redirect path to “/dashboard/settings/#vendorpayment”, “/dashboard/settings/#branding”, and “/dashboard/settings/#social” when hovering over them, but nothing happens when they are clicked.

Meanwhile, the “Store” tab, with redirect path “/dashboard/settings/#storesettings” seems to function properly, as the page is scrolled down to the “Store Name” field when the “Store” tab is clicked.

Why does nothing happen when the “Payment”, “Branding”, and “Social” subheaders are clicked?

That’s interesting. It sounds like something in the theme is interfering with anchor. Could you email me the zip file from the theme developer you purchased it from? Send to ben@wcvendors.com. And please also include a link to this thread here so that I know which thread the theme being sent to me is to help diagnose a problem for. 🙂

    Cheers

    Ben

Thanks for sending in the theme. I installed it on our dev server where you can view it now till I change it again in the near future — dev.wcvendors.com/my-account/ then login as vendor1 password vendor1

Then go to dev.wcvendors.com/dashboard/ and you can see the Pro Dashboard. Everything on it works, I’m unable to replicate the issue………

Well I guess we’ve confirmed that it’s not an issue with the theme. I didn’t expect it would be.

What do you suggest I do next to troubleshoot the issue? Should I start deactivating plugins or do you have a better idea?

Most likely. Keep WooCommerce, WC Vendors, and WC Vendors Pro, and see if that fixes it for you. If it does, re-enable plugins one at a time reloading the dashboard pages in between.

If you use a caching plugin, clear your entire cache and inspect too. It might even be something like the minify causing problems which is all too common with caching plugins.

I’ve disabled all plugins except for woocommerce, wc vendors, and wc vendors pro, but the issue persists.

I don’t have a caching plugin. I don’t how to inspect my cache.

I know sometimes functions are not designed with placeholders and require actual data to initiate them…Do I need to populate something with data for it work properly? Any other ideas?

    Ben,

When I click on the subheaders (i.e. Social) nothing happens, so I typed the redirect paths (i.e. /dashboard/settings/#social) into the url and still nothing happened. Then I switched pages (i.e. /dashboard) and then hit the back button in my browser (Firefox) and it actually took me to the social subheader! I tested the same thing on Chrome and the behavior was the same.

Does this help solve the problem?

1.) I tested, confirmed that it doesnt seem to load the other tabs.

2.) I disabled all your plugins, it still is a problem.

3.) I switched themes to the main theme not the child theme, still is a problem.

4.) I switched themes to TwentyFifteen theme, everything works.

5.) I wiped your style.css clean in your child theme, still is a problem.

That’s about as good as I can get myself and am completely lost. Styling issues are certainly not my strong point. So, let’s bring in the big guns. I’ll have Jamie take a look. Please keep the admin login active, he’ll need it. @digitalchild

    Appreciate your help.

Could it be something in my child theme functions.php that still applies when you switch to the parent theme but that doesn’t get applied when you switch themes?

Anyway, I look forward to hearing back from Jamie.

One way to find out. Cut it from your functions.php and test. If that’s not it just paste it back. Go for it. 🙂

Just tried it but it didn’t solve the problem. I’m relieved that I won’t have to dig through my functions.php to find the problem but I’m disappointed that all that troubleshooting hasn’t revealed the issue. What could it be!?

We’ll figure it out. Well, Jamie will. This one is above my pay grade. 🙂

    Hi Ben,

When do you expect this to be looked at? I don’t like to leave an an extra admin account open for very long for security reasons.

It’s 4:30am in Australia right now, so probably within the next 4-8 hours before @digitalchild can check it out.

    Ben,

I got it working. There is a weird setting for the Customizr theme that deals with anchors called “Smooth scroll on click” under “Links style and effects” under “Global Settings”. I disabled that feature and now it works properly.

Appreciate your responsiveness and help on this.
