    Hi Anna,

    How can the Vendors reorder their listings in the shop?
    If they want to do it for example by colours or by any other order?

    Thanks:
    Kriszta

    @FoltBolt
    Currently this is not a feature we have built-in to WC Vendors or Pro.
    There are plugins that allow more sorting options to be created, such as this one (I have not used this plugin): https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-extra-product-sorting-options/
    None of these plugins are likely to give vendors much control over the sorting order, however.

    Thanks 🙁
    Let me suggest to give more ‘freedom’ to the vendors regarding the image-editing,(name, size, etc) and product sorting in one of the next updates…
    Cheers:)

    Hello @FoltBolt

    As the developer I’m going to chime in and explain why this isn’t easy to do. Firstly you would have noticed that we run on top of WooCommerce. WooCommerce was not made to have multiple stores running on top of it, but we’ve made it do it thanks to the extensibility of the plugin. Their stores are really just a view of the vendors products within the WooCommerce store. Sort order is controlled by WooCommerce and although it might be possible to hook in to change the sort order on a per store (i haven’t tried this) I dont think it would be easy to implement.

    Regarding media the sizes are based on what the theme allows. This isn’t us. Naming is something they should be doing before uploading their files. The Media uploader doesn’t have very fine grained control over what we can allow them to do, it’s pretty close to all or nothing which doesn’t work for a lot of our stores. Which makes it hard for us to provide control when there is no control we can fine tune.

    I won’t completely rule it out but I’m going to say its not as simple as one might think.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

    Thank you for the detailed explanation. I am not happy with the answer 🙂 but at least I got it…
