ParticipantI installed WC Vendors and purchased and installed Stripe Connect and Commissions plugin.
1) There are no settings for Stripe Connect within WC Vendors > Payments (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc_prd_vendor&tab=payments) (screenshot attached), it still says “Another gateway that offers instant payments to vendors that also accepts credit cards directly on your checkout page is Stripe,” leading me to think it is not correctly installed.
2a) I am able to click the Connect to Stripe button and connect another Stripe account. However, when I run a test purchase, the full amount of the purchase is paid to the other Stripe account, without the commission being calculated (nothing is paid to the primary account).
2b) I turned off Instant Pay, but the same behavior in 2a still occurs (perhaps because the Instant Pay button is specifically for PayPal).

Participant1.) That’s good, there’s not supposed to be. There are no payment settings for Stripe paying vendors — at checkout, if the vendor is connected to stripe, they get their $ then. If not, you pay them manually later.
2.) a. – Probably as a result of being in test mode. Once you go live, no issues.
b. – Yup, those payment settings are paypal only, you can ignore the entire payments tab. 🙂July 21, 2016 at 7:40 pm #37849Nile
Participant1) Why is the message “Another gateway that offers instant payments to vendors that also accepts credit cards directly on your checkout page is Stripe” still there if the plugin is installed? This is misleading.
2a) So how do I test it to make sure it’s working right and payments are being divided correctly?
July 21, 2016 at 8:28 pm #37850WC Vendors Support
Participant1.) You’re right, I’ll revise WC Vendors Free that if it detects Stripe, instead of showing that message, it will show you a revised instructional and some other notes to make things a bit clearer. We’ll get that in for next release.
2a.) Easy! Use a real credit card, and have a real vendor connect to their Stripe. Have that vendor create a product for $1.00. Buy it. Your vendor/you can easily refund your dollar, of course, via Stripe.com. 🙂
Usually you’d use a test mode to test transactions. Stripe is a wee bit different, because it uses different Stripe Connect keys for live/test transactions. WHat that means, is any vendor that connects during test mode wont work during live mode. So, for Stripe, live mode all the time. Test mode really just isnt necessary, it’s not terribly complex to get screwed up.
July 21, 2016 at 9:11 pm #37853Nile
Participant2a) Okay, thanks for the explanation. It might be a good idea to include this detail in the setup instructions.

ParticipantI have woocommerce paid extension for paypal pro, does it work fine if I buy WC Vendor Pro, Please reply.
July 22, 2016 at 1:35 pm #37900Nile
ParticipantWhen I uncheck the box next to Enable test mode, Credit Cards disappears from the checkout page.
July 22, 2016 at 1:46 pm #37902WC Vendors Support
ParticipantYour Stripe settings should look like this in live mode, with of course your api keys filled out in the area below not shown by the screenshot.
July 22, 2016 at 2:31 pm #37936Nile
ParticipantThat’s what I’ve got in my settings.
Do I have to have an SSL certificate?
July 22, 2016 at 2:34 pm #37939WC Vendors Support
ParticipantAbsolutely you have to have SSL. You would be breaking the law and your credit card processing agreement with Stripe by not using SSL on your checkout page.
SSL is very cheap. You can even get free SSL certificates at some places if you are technically inclined on how to generate and receive them. We use Namecheap, it’s $9 a year for a Comodo SSL certificate! 🙂
July 26, 2016 at 1:55 pm #38210Nile
ParticipantI just made a purchase and the commission split was not applied: 100% of the money went to the connected stripe account, and nothing went to the primary stripe account.
July 26, 2016 at 3:05 pm #38213WC Vendors Support
ParticipantYou’ll have to give me more details than that. 😉 Give me something that we can replicate, and then that’s something we can fix. Settings? Options? Details!
July 26, 2016 at 4:09 pm #38225Nile
ParticipantI don’t know what other details I can provide. I followed the instructions thus far: I have an SSL certificate, Stripe is active, secondary account is connected, commission is set to 90%, I’m not in test mode, WC vendors shows the commission as paid, stripe shows only the full amount deposited to the secondary Stripe account and nothing to the primary.
I’ve attached screenshots of the settings screens I could think of. Please tell me what else you’d like to see.
For you to replicate, you must have admin access and a secondary account access, create a product, buy the product, then check Stripe for both accounts to see how the payment has been split (or, in this case, not split).

July 29, 2016 at 10:05 pm #38501WC Vendors Support
ParticipantI’m unable to replicate anything like you’re seeing…. Can you describe the exact totals of the order and the product and the payflow from customer to payment gateway to you to your vendors?
August 2, 2016 at 2:05 pm #38918Nile
ParticipantBen,
The product is $1. I purchased one of them using a real credit card. The product was created by a vendor which is connected with Stripe using Stripe Connect.
Screen Shot 1 order total
Screen Shot 2 order confirmation
Screen Shot 3a primary stripe account payments screen after the order has been processed: no percentage of sale has been paid to primary account
Screen Shot 3b vendor stripe account payments screen after the order has been processed: full $1 has been paid to vendor
Screen Shot 4 commissions summary: shows that 90% commission was paid
Screen Shot 5 woocommerce back end orderPayflow:
Woocommerce with WC Vendors Stripe Connect plugin. Customer pays through Stripe. As far as I understand, WC Vendors Stripe Connect plugin should then split the payment between the Vendor and the Primary Stripe Account. However, this is not the case, and full payment amount goes to Vendor Stripe Account.August 4, 2016 at 1:15 pm #39116Nile
ParticipantHi Ben, is there additional information that you need to help us with this?
August 4, 2016 at 5:43 pm #39143Nile
ParticipantI did a bunch more testing today:
– disconnected secondary stripe account and made an order: all money went to primary stripe account
– reconnected secondary stripe account and made an order: all money went to secondary stripe account, no commission for primary account
– cloned the site, everything up-to-date, changed stripe connect app settings to new site url, disabled all plugins excpet wc vendors + wc vendors stripe connect + woocommerce, switched to twenty sixteen theme, created a new vendor, connected to stripe, created a new product, purchased the new product: all money went to secondary stripe account, no commission for primary accountAugust 4, 2016 at 5:44 pm #39144Nile
ParticipantPS. I can give you access to the cloned site so you can also test and verify.
August 4, 2016 at 9:51 pm #39158WC Vendors Support
ParticipantCan you try this with a new vendors account? If you keep connecting and disconnecting in test mode you’ll get the wrong connect keys. You cant use test mode with vendors. Only admin products.
August 8, 2016 at 3:42 pm #39370Nile
ParticipantHi Ben,
I’m not clear what you want me to do. Do you want me to create an entirely new vendor account on my website and connect a stripe account and do a test purchase? I already did this last week, as noted in the last bullet point of my message above: “…created a new vendor, connected to stripe, created a new product, purchased the new product: all money went to secondary stripe account, no commission for primary account”
August 8, 2016 at 3:55 pm #39373Anna
MemberHello Nile,
I think what Ben needs is for your to test with a live account to determine what is happening. You can use the test / development keys for a admin account for testing, but I think you need to now use the live mode in Stripe and in your payment settings. Connecting and disconnecting a vendor in test and live mode in Stripe is glitch-y and has caused issues when trying to then make live purchases or see commission calculations.
Switch your checkout and your stripe to live mode. Connect a new vendor in live mode (one that has not been connected to stripe in test mode) . As that vendor, List a product. Now use a different user account or your admin account to purchase that product from that vendor in live mode- an actual purchase – and see if you have the same error with the commission not calculating correctly.
Please report back with your results.
August 8, 2016 at 4:59 pm #39382Nile
ParticipantI have been doing all these tests in live mode since July 21 when Ben told me I needed to do so.
I have created a new vendor account and connected it with my secondary Stripe account. Does the Stripe account have to be a completely new account, too, or only the vendor account on my website.
August 8, 2016 at 6:49 pm #39388Nile
ParticipantI know that you typically don’t do this, but our back and forth is dragging on, as turn around time between messages is often several days, and I really need to get a solution to this. Would you be willing to meet with my be phone or Google Hangouts so we can try to work through this issue quickly and efficiently? Thank you.

MemberNile,
Have your spoken with Stripe?
It would be very difficult for me, on this end, to help you troubleshoot as I cannot see any of your Stripe account configurations or details. IN this situation, the nest approach is to contact the payment processor directly so they can investigate. Please talk with Stripe and explain this situation. They will be able to see your configurations, review logs ,etc. that will help determine if this is happening due to an error in code, in the gateway, with the configuration you have in your Stripe account or in your wc vendors Stripe settings.
Unfortunately I cannot see those details- nor can I actually assist with what is happening with the payment processor. At the best I can look to see if your wc vendors settings are configured correctly- as they do appear to be.
If there is an error or update needed in the Stripe Connect Wc Vendors Gateway Plugin code then we can work with that and fix that (well, Jamie can..). Since this is an isolated situation, please contact them, your payment processor, so they can provide you with more information as to what is actually occurring with these transactions.
Thank you, Nile.
August 15, 2016 at 2:05 pm #40102Nile
ParticipantHi Anna,
Thanks for the response. I have contacted Stripe as well and have been in a back and forth with them for the last week. So far no help – they have just sent me links to this information: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/payments-fees
If I give you admin login credentials for our testing version of the site, couldn’t you set up WC Vendors with your own Stripe testing accounts and then you could get all the information you described in your previous message, so you could test it out? In this way, you could test what is happening and look for the errors you think might be there.
Regard,
NileAugust 17, 2016 at 5:20 pm #40357Nile
ParticipantHello,
The system has been working correctly this entire time, I just wasn’t seeing the fees in Stripe – I thought they would show in the dashboard and payments, but they do not: I must navigate to https://dashboard.stripe.com/applications/fees to see the fees. Nobody mentioned this during this entire time, so I didn’t know. I apologize for any wasted time.
I came to this answer after help from Stripe support.

ParticipantJust to confirm, if I have the Stripe Payment Gateway purchased through you guys I CAN ignore the payments tab.
I ask this because clicking “Instantly Pay” populates the following red-error message, “No vendors found to pay. Maybe they haven’t set a PayPal address?”
Should I uncheck, save and move on/ignore?
Thanks Ben.

Correct – you just set up the Stripe, and it works to pay connected vendors their commission (to their stripe account) instantly upon checkout.
You do not need to set the paypal instant pay settings at all.September 20, 2016 at 5:01 am #43026Maxime
ParticipantHello Anna, Ben,
I have a question for you guys regarding stripe connect settings. I’m about to purchase it but first I have a question about commissions :
– Can I set a fixe+pourcentage commission on stripe connect plugin ? (for ex : a vendor is selling a 10€ product, and I wanna collect 1€ + 18% of those 9€)
– How is it working for my vendors. Do they sign in/ log in into stripe in the vendor pro dashbord or they fill a bank account form in the dashbord so they can be paid ? (if you have screenshot it would be great)Thank you both for your help
cheers
Max
September 20, 2016 at 8:52 am #43039Anna
MemberMax,
– Can I set a fixe+pourcentage commission on stripe connect plugin ? (for ex : a vendor is selling a 10€ product, and I wanna collect 1€ + 18% of those 9€)
Your settings for commissions is controlled in your WC Vendors Pro wp admin > woocommerce > WC Vendors > Commissions. The Stripe Connect will pay your vendors (and you, admin, to your stripe account) whatever configuration you have set up for your commissions- the flat rate + percentage will work, as will the other options.– How is it working for my vendors. Do they sign in/ log in into stripe in the vendor pro dashboard or they fill a bank account form in the dashboard so they can be paid ?
Once you install and configure the Stripe Gateway & Commissions plugin, a “Connect to Stripe” button will appear in the vendors’ dashboard under the PAYMENTS tab. All the vendors need to do is click on that button, and they are taken to Stripe’s website. From there they can either connect an existing Stripe account (if they have one) or easily open a new Stripe account with their banking details. In the future they can then log into Stripe to view any financial details or see their scheduled deposits, etc. from Stripe.
Here’s the documentation we have for our Stripe plugin, with a few screenshots. In PRO, the Stripe connect button is actually now int he payments tab rather than above the shop name as shown in the screenshot : https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/stripe-commissions-gateway-setup/

ParticipantHello Anna,
thanks a lot for your answer ! I have one last question for you :
Do the vendors access the stripe regular dashboard like any other stripe members ?
Or their screen are simplified like just a bank account form ?thank you very much
September 22, 2016 at 12:53 pm #43294Anna
MemberHere is what your vendors will see.
1. The Stripe connect button in the Pro vendor dashboard > settings > payments
2 & 3. The form if they click on your connect to Stripe buttonIf they already have a Stripe account, there is a link at the very top of the page that they can click on and just sign in to Stripe., Then it’ll ask them if they approve your marketplace to create customers and payments on their behalf.
From then on, to manage or view deposits, etc. they go straight to Stripe.com and sign into their Stripe account.

ParticipantHello Anna,
I’m sorry I have one more question about vendors commissions :
the commissions by percentage+fixed fee is not working. Only percentage is working.
On vendors setting, when I set 82% + 1€, the fixed fee (1€) desappear after saving changes.
And same thing on the product commission field. What can I do ?
You can find 2 attached files
thank you

September 29, 2016 at 12:48 pm #43898Anna
MemberHi, Max:
The first image is showing the WC Vendors admin settings, where the default commissions are set for the entire site (all vendors and all products). The second image is showing the commission settings on a product add/edit form in admin, which should only be used if you want to override the commission for the product ONLY.Please tell me- which you have the WC Vendors Pro commission set in the admin, as in the first image, are the commission calculations correct when a transaction is run? Do a test transaction and see if the commissions are calculated correctly.
It could be that the fixed value is just not showing up in the product commissions override field in admin. I’ll test that on the dev site. Please test a transaction and see if your commissions, as set for the site default in admin, are actually saving and calculating correctly.
September 29, 2016 at 1:14 pm #43899Anna
MemberIt does appear that there may be a bug in the percentage + fee and also the Fixed + fee saving properly when commission is being overridden on a per product basis. I’ve submitted the issue and will update with any information about this.
September 29, 2016 at 1:16 pm #43900Maxime
ParticipantHi Anne,
I’m sorry I did not tell you correctly what I meant :
Commission IS NOT calculating right, That’s why I wrote you few days ago ! This was my point actually. The commission is calculating only on the percentage I set (in the WC vendors admin) and not on both percentage AND fixed fee
Can you help me ?September 29, 2016 at 10:47 pm #43932Anna
MemberHello, Max,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. The percentage + fee and Fixed + fee indeed were NOT working or saving at all if set on the product level. They were working fine if set on the admin level for default global commissions- but NOT on the product level.Jamie has identified and fixed this issue and it should be in the next release. 🙂

ParticipantHello Anna,
No, It’s NOT working on the admin level. percentage+fee is being saved correctly but the calculation is not.
have a look at my attached filed.
When I sell a product at 9€, the commission for the vendors is 7.38
When I sell a product at 8€, the commission for the vendors is 6.38
etc…
So vendors is only taking into account the percentageSeptember 30, 2016 at 4:24 am #43967Jamie
KeymasterHello,
I’ve tested this on several different sites and this is working as expected. Have you checked that you don’t have overrides at any level? Are you running anything that changes commissions in any way?
Can you give a private reply with an admin login so we can do further testing please?
cheers,
Jamie.
