Calculate Tax Based on “Customer Shipping Address” is selected.

However, tax calculates before the buyer enters their shipping address.

It should need the customer’s shipping address to calculate the tax.

Could someone please let me know why I am lost? Thank you-

    Hello,

All tax calculations are performed by WooCommerce and have nothing to do with our code. If there is problems with the tax system that would be something you’d have to check with WooCommerce.

    cheers

    Jamie.

Thank you @digitalchild , prior to coming here, I posted a question on the woocommerce wordpress.org support forum.

I thought someone here had crossed that bridge because vendor products get tax calculated before the customer shipping address is entered.

Having noticed this occurs to vendor products, I took a step back and created a test environment with just woocommerce.

Did you notice this is occurring to tax calculations for vendor products? I was hoping it was just me overlooking something. I appreciate any advice you can give.

    Thank you~

    Quick Update:

It’s being looked into right now by woocomerce 🙂

I’m on a mission to make taxes friendly for my vendors.

Just came to post the solution: The absence of Geolocate can interfere with “Calculate Tax Based on Shipping Address.’

Adding Geolocate, stopped tax calculation prior to a shipping address being entered.

This worked for admin tax rules which are currently shared with the vendor.

I believe you may have your geo-locate box checked (and woo commerce is automatically detecting the customer’s location)? Not sure, just trying to help. 🙂
