    hi,

I am new to WooCommerce. I have installed WordPress and would like to create a Marketplace. So when I buy WC Vendors Pro, is this a theme? or do I still have to buy another theme? Because I also Like the theme Social Marketplace by Buddy Press. How does this work?

many thanks in advance for your help,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

You’ll need these free things installed first:

    1.) WordPress (duh!)
    2.) WooCommerce
    3.) WC Vendors Free

    Then, next:

1.) Buy WC Vendors Pro. Pro is a plugin, not a theme. When you buy Pro, there is a coupon in the email receipt for $30 off Social Marketplace.

2.) Use the coupon to buy Social Marketplace.

From there, you’re good to go! Be sure to read the setup guides in the WC Vendors.com > KnowledgeBase.

    Cheers

    Hi Ben,

thank you very much for your respons. I did succeed from raising from the Neandertahler level by installing WooCommerce and then became Homo Sapiens by installing WC Vendors Free! Now looking forward to raising myself up from the hunting and collecting berries level to the agricultural level by buying WC VEndor Pro.
Yet I would like to know if I can choose my own PSP in Holland, this is not quite clear to me. I must have Ideal as provided by Mollie https://www.mollie.com/nl/ as I will be having a lot of Dutch Vendors. In Holland everyone works with Ideal. Creditcards is much more something of America. Do you know more about this? Otherwise I won’t be able to buy Vendors Pro and Social Marketplace. It is critical to me. (I am sorry).

looking forward to becoming a true Kelt,

    cheers,

    Andrew.

You’re on your way to becoming a Jedi, Andrew! 🙂

What is a “PSP”? I *think* you are asking about payment gateways, if I’m right, you can use any WooCommerce gateway you like. The only time you’d be restricted on gateways is if you wanted to pay vendors instantly or on a schedule, and then you would be limited to PayPal or Stripe for that. However, you can use all gateways otherwise at your discretion and pay vendors any way you see fit, too. 🙂

For a credit card, if you need one, go to any gas station or grocery store and buy a pre-paid visa/mastercard. Then, your wallet is now in the 21st century, too! 🙂 Of course we accept Credit Cards or PayPal as our two payment options when purchasing our plugins.

    Cheers

    hi Ben,

thank you for your reply. A PSP means: Payment Service Provider. 🙂 This is the firm that provides the gateways indeed for all different kinds of online payments. The one I mentioned ‘Mollie’ is a smaller firm that mainly operates in Holland. It is important that PSP firms know the names and services of the firms that provide shopping carts, so the service can be provided.
I once had to apply for a shopping cart of Ecwid. but the PSP didn’t know Ecwid. So they had to turn the house upside down before the gateway was provided. PSP’s are allways very demanding because of legal issues and stuff.
I would like to work with Mollie because they’ve already accepted me.:-)

    Cheers

    hi Ben,

just very happy to have found that Mollie also has a plug-in for WooCommerce! I’ve downloaded the plug-in and installed it already, now it is up to Mollie to approve it. So, I am very glad that my WordPress/WooCommerce/Social Marketplace will have Ideal on it!! Super Delicious!
