I’ve entered my PayPal api/app settings for PayPal Adaptive but when I try to check out, I get this message: “This transaction is invalid. Please return to the recipient’s website and try again.”

Anyone have any advice on how to fix this?

    Hello,
Please double-check that you have entered all of your paypal credentials for Adaptive payments, and that the original paypal account you used for applying for adaptive payments was a paypal business account.
Otherwise, please contact paypal and explain the issue to see if they can tell you what they are seeing on their end. It is very difficult for us to debug payment processor issues.

Side note.. you will want to fix this, as seen in your WooCommerce System Status:

Pro Dashboard Page: โœ• -Your pro dashboard page cannot be set to your free dashboard page. Click here to change.

I’ve made that change and a couple adjustments. The payments are now going through but 100% is going to the website.

I’ve adjusted the commission under the wc-vendors to 85% and vendors are to be paid instantly but it’s not splitting the payments.

Did you set commissions here: wp admin > woocommerce > wc vendors > commissions (tab)?

Could you provide me with admin login & password in a private reply and I can take a look to see if I can find anything incorrect with the settings? I’m afraid from this position I cannot think of what else to suggest, so i can look and see if I can find anything .

Hold on, I was using the wrong account.

Payment is going through but 100% is still going to the website.

I have no idea why this is happening.. I just made sure you had commissions set in wp admin > woocommerce > wc vendors > commissions (tab) .. which is was not. So I entered 85.
Please contact paypal and see what they can tell you, as I cannot see what is actually happening with the transaction and why it is considered invalid by PayPal.

The error was caused because I was checking out signed in as the admin.

I tried it again with another account and was able to checkout but the payment was not split. The commission was always set to 85% (I sent a screenshot above) unless there’s another place it was supposed to be entered.

I’m still getting 100% of the payment.

Sorry- yes, it was also set to 85 under commissions. I had it set in both places.

Hoping to get this fixed soon! Any idea why the commission isn’t being split?

I had to hire someone to take a look at this and they’ve got it splitting the commission now but there’s another issue.

Apparently there is ANOTHER place where the commission needs to be defined in order for it to work. Under each user, we needed to add the percentage.

The problem now though, is that it would be a very tedious process to manually assign commissions to each vendor.

Is there a way to get the commission to DEFAULT to the 85%? The place where we had originally assigned that amount still does not seem to be working. Can we hard code it somewhere?

    @jacksoncn
With WC Vendors Pro, you should only need to set the commissions , for default, in one place:
wp admin > woocommerce > wc vendors > commission

You can then override on a per vendor basis– but this should not be NEEDED.
    Something isn’t right..
Did you have someone do any custom code that may affect the commissions?

I’ve had someone customize code but nothing related to the commission.

    Clay,
I am sorry, but I do not know why commissions is not splitting. I have looked over your admin again, and everything looks to be set properly.
Commission should not need to be set on a per vendor basis- that is just an option (and for Pro, you would not use that field anyway that you show in the screenshot, you would scroll down further on the users page and use the Pro Commissions field for setting on a per vendor basis).

Are the vendors entering a paypal email? Is the test vendor entering a paypal email that is NOT yours or associated with your admin account?

    Hi Anna,

The vendors are using a PayPal address and itโ€™s not associated with the admin. We are getting the correct split in payment now but, like you’ve said, each vendor % needs to be defined manually.

Not sure what else to do here… but I need to get this working asap.

What do you suggest? I’m hoping I don’t have to hire someone to try and fix this and you can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks.

There is literally nothing in our code that would prevent the users from being able to receive commissions that you have set in the admin as the default commissions rate.
I am sorry but I have looked at your site, and cannot see why the commissions rate would not be applying unless you set in on a per vendor basis.
I am sorry but this is not an issue I have been able to resolve, as I cannot recreate it on our end or any of my dev sites at all, and with the admin configurations set in wp admin > woocommerce > wc vendors > commissions (tab) , and NO altered code, the vendors ARE receiving the proper allotted commissions when I check in wp admin > woocommerce > commissions on any installation I have worked with.
This issue is unique to your install, but I cannot sort out why it is occurring on your site.
    1. Have ALL plugins deactivated except WooCommerce, WC Vendors and WC Vendors Pro.
    2. Switch to the Storefront theme.
    3. Make sure there is NO custom code
    4. test.
Are vendors STILL not having commissions applied properly? wp admin > woocommerce > commissions …check those logs.
