    Ben,

Previously you mentioned that updating to a newer version wouldn’t affect my current settings but when I upgraded to 1.1 it reset them completely. I’m afraid to update to 1.1.1 because I don’t want that to happen again. Any thoughts?

Also, I have been editing the templates for the vendor dashboard. If I upload 1.1.1 will it reset those edits? How do I make sure it keeps them.

Finally, do we have control from the backend on this version to control whether or not we want the shipping/return policies displayed on the product page? or do we also have to go in as a developer to alter the templates to remove them?

1.1.1 templates are updated, it may or may not affect you, your just as an admin is to test and find out.

Yeah would love to get some clarification on this too. With other plugins I’ve deleted and installed new versions and not lost settings, but just now updating to 1.1.1 all settings have been reset! This includes my commission settings and, well, all of them.

There has to got to be a better way to update. Is there an ETA for the new update system? Because I know you said the Woo one you’re currently using is buggy.

Also I’m not clear on whether I’m losing the template mods I’m making to my files in themes/themename/wc-vendors – I hope not. Haven’t checked yet.

    Hello,

Making the updater work properly is my number 1 priority now that I’ve managed to fix the outstanding fatal issues we had. The only settings that might have been deleted would be some of the product and store level shipping options. I haven’t written code to purge any of our settings if you delete the plugin so I’m not sure what is doing that. I’ll setup a test environment and see if I can replicate that (and stop it).

    cheers,

    Jamie.

    Hi Jamie,

I was going to say, if it’s not a priority it probably should be, so reassuring to hear you’re on it. Look forward to when it works smoothly. 🙂

    Charlie
