    Hi.
I activated ability to choose type of product for vendors.
But vendors can’t display VARIABLE options, just only ATTRIBUTES, so vendor can’t establish different prices for variables.

    How can I fix it?

If your able to select “Variable product” as a vendor from the dropdown when adding a new product, all the functionality is there.

Check out: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/product-variations/ and see if your understanding Variations correctly, they are a big pain in the ass, of course. 😉

WC Vendors fully supports all product types that WooCommerce supports, as long as you have allowed the vendor to add Variable products in WooCommerce / WC Vendors / Products in the admin side under the Types submenu. If Variable is checked, that hides it from the vendor. If unchecked, vendor may add variable products.

Let me know how it goes!

    Yes, it works for me.
Checkboxes is for HIDING options, not for SHOWING.

    Thank you for support.

This part of the interface is a bit confusing and may need a rethink. This was inherited when we took over the plugin. I would like to address many of the UI/UX issues in the plugin as they are inconsistent with how wordpress works. Such as ticking a box is for enabling something, not disabling something such as your issue above.

    It was only a suggestion.
Keep on with this great job!

Dont worry, danicasati, it’s a great suggestion. 🙂 When Jamie and I inherited this plugin we both knew the admin interface was a bit weird. It works, yes, but it’s not to the WordPress standards. We’ll be upgrading it in the very near future. 🙂

    Hi,

I have left the variable un-checked and it is not showing up as an option for the vendor?

    How can I fix this?

    Cheers

Kevin, your settings may have gotten goofed up in your wp_options table. Try checking or unchecking all teh settings on that page (the opposite of what you want), save, then re-check/uncheck the way you want them to be, then save.

@takeandcreate — You’re posting in the WC Vendors Free forum. You run WC Vendors PRO. 🙂 Pro does not support variable products until v1.3.0 is released. Upon release, you’ll see them on the Pro Dashboard. Till then, nothing you can do will make them work. 😉 We anticipate v1.3.0 being ready for release in the next 2 weeks.

Thats a big problem with this plugin for me as every product that we would put being clothing would need this functionality and that’s why we bought it. everything looks great and fits well for us and it has the options for it?

The option will be inherited by WC Vendors Pro, but is actually for Free. Variables are incredibly complex, as I’m sure you know. Coding them to work on the front end is a gigantic task, with a ton of code, and a lot to write. When Pro v1.3.0 is out in a few weeks, then you can do it. Till then, you can continue to use only WC Vendors Free, or just wait a little while.

Hi Ben, excited for the release of 1.3.0. Is there a list of features that will be in the new version?

    Hi,

At first I was facing the issue that @DANICASATI reported, and when applying the solution suggested by @BEN another issue came up.

When logged in as a vendor, I select from the dropdown the option “variable product”. Nevertheless the price field that should appear undernetah the tab “General” shows empty. If this happens, then the vendor can’t set up a price for the product (see https://www.screencast.com/t/TDkyhDMy4S)

    How can I solve this?

    Thanks in advance and regards,

    – Maria

    @mappi1589
Please begin a new topic– this is a very old topic and much has changed.
In addition, if you begin a new topic, you can include your url and WooCommerce System Status (we ask for these details when you begin a topic so we can better assist you).
    Thank you!
