    Setting up a new site.

When I try and go to the vendor shop it returns a 500 error, and here is the link it tries to get the shop at:

    http://www.innertruthproductions.com/theunbound/?post_type=product&vendor_shop=pauls-shop

Not sure why it is doing this.

Any help would be very kindly appreciated.

    Hi Paul,

    wp-admin / Settings / Permalinks

Go to that page, then click save. Now all the links on your site will work. 🙂 Always save the Permalinks on a new site, otherwise even most of WooCommerce wont even work!

Fixed. It was your Permalinks. They weren’t set at all. Check out the Permalink settings now, and you’ll see instead of “Default” for everything (which gives you those weird ?post=123098123098 URLs) they now have proper permalinks set. Now instead of http://www.innertruthproductions.com/theunbound/?page_id=32 you have http://www.innertruthproductions.com/theunbound/vendors/pauls-shop

    Enjoy

That’s excellent thank you ever so much, Ben.

While you have access, can you see why in the vendor dashboard that when the product submission link is clicked, it goes to WP backend instead of a front end form?

    Cheers,

    Paul

    You’re very welcome.

For your second request, it would be much nicer if you read the Setup Instructions, followed by other KnowledgeBase articles that detail how the plugin works. 🙂 In the Setup Instructions you’ll see that front-end posting is not part of WC Vendors (yet, it will be for WC Vendors Pro which will be a few more months before it is ready for release). In the meantime, also in the KnowledgeBase, you’ll see an article on how to use a third party plugin in conjunction with WC Vendors to allow front-end posting for the time being. There’s a LOT of good info in those KB articles! You’ll see a link to it at the top of this site.

    Hi Paul,

    wp-admin / Settings / Permalinks

On the top are the Permalinks for your “blog” posts. Set those to any of them that you wish, as long as it is not “Default”.

On the bottom are the Permalinks for your “products”. Set those to something like Shop Base + Category, as long as it is not “Default”.

Save, and you should be good to go!
