WC-VENDORS free Version 1.9.9 Version 1.9.9 overwrites SEO Product Meta Title – ouch!

Version 1.9.9 overwrites SEO Product Meta Titles that we labored hours to create using YOAST.

WC-VENDORS free Version 1.9.9 stuffs the string “product” – [vendorname] into the Meta Title – destroys our meticulously designed Meta Title templates. To date, we were able to create SEO Product META Titles in YOAST and all worked fine. V1.9.9 suddenly began overwriting our YOAST generated Product META Titles. Disabling WC-VENDORS free demonstrates the problem, i.e. Product META Titles revert to correct (YOAST) template.

How can we revert (find download) for previous version WC-VENDORS free ?

    thanks, Garry, Los Angeles

It appears that this new 1.9.9 “feature” is what is causing this?

Added: Vendor shop name to the tag on products archive page

    Hello,
We are looking into this at the moment.
It seems that the update did not quite go as expected– I provided a filter for some other users but they are reporting that it is not working for them.
I will update you as soon as we have worked out what the issue is with the title update. It was intended to assist with SEO but it is not working properly, it seems.

    Anna hello again?

Can you please assist in identifying the offending code/file so we can comment this out? or where we can find previous version to revert to?

Do not wish Google crawler to see that we have 2,000+ products with new URLs !!

    Anna hello:

Has this issue been documented internally as a “bug” ?

Is it possible to receive a quick pointer to the PHP file this is coming from? (will try to fix/comment out)

Have had to disable 1.9.9. plugin for now.. don’t want google picking up all these modified META’s

    thanks, GARRY
