I use Avada Theme. There are several problems for WC Vendors v1.0.2.

    1. There’s no button for vendors to upload their banner.
    2. When I Login as vendor, the top bar for backend dashboard shows up.
    3. There’s no place for vendors to edit there store description, store name.
    4. Email notification for applying as a vendor and approved as a vendor is not working. I don’t know that others email notifications are also not working or works fine.

I need this fast. My investor is waiting for my website to launch. The only thing I haven’t done is only the vendor system. I expect so much for WC Vendors when I bought it for $99. I hope it doesn’t disappoint me for the next update.

I am so sorry, I know it is hard. At least, all the function is working. Thanks for the hardwork.

1.) I just tested with Avada, and it’s there and working fine.

2.) This isnt WC Vendors doing that, it’s some other plugin or your settings doing this. We dont display that bar and dont control it at all.

3.) Sure there is, Pro Dashboard, click Settings.

4.) That’s going to be your webservers email settings. Check your send from email address and check your webservers mail logs.

    Hi Martin,

I’m unable to access your website, it looks like you have a 40MB limit on your website and your pages are throwing memory errors. Bump up your memory limit to “128M”, which is much more suitable for a multivendor woocommerce website. Let me know when it’s good to login.

    Hi Ben,

I have increased the memory limit. Should I apply the wcvendors v.1.0.3 or maybe you want to do some tweaks first?

    Thanks you so much, Ben.

    Ben,

Actually, store setting is working fine now. So, the point number 2 is solved.

But when I want to upload the banner and add store icon. It’s the same like when adding a picture for vendor’s product. It shows a message “You don’t have permission to attach files to this post.”

I tried to use WPFront user role, I changed several permission for Vendor, instead of giving permission to upload pictures, I accidentally make the admin dashboard bar at the top showing up.

In WPFront user role, when I tried to checklist the publish_post and edit_post, Vendor is able to upload the pictures. But the admin bar showing when I checklist those two.

Perhaps, there’s another solution for this problem.

    Thank you so much, Ben.

    Hi Ben,

Bunches of thanks for helping me out. You are the best.

For the upload picture issues, could it be because of wp-avatar that cause the problem? I don’t really see the best solution for it. I really try to understand the system of wordpress, but if it comes to this kind of issues, I might need someone to help me out.

Thank you so much again, you really help me a lot.

    Hi Martin,

You’re very welcome, of course. That’s what we’re here for. 🙂

I activated Avada on dev.wcvendors.com for you (login as vendor1, password vendor1) once you login, click Pro Dashboard and play away. This is the theme you sent me, unmodified.

The wp-avatar plugin I disabled on your site, since with it enabled, you cant upload as it forces a permission error because that plugin is just stupid and poorly coded. 🙂

It could be another plugin is interfering still, or a theme customization you have made is causing the images not to work. Try with just WooCommerce, WC Vendors, and WC Vendors Pro active. If it still fails, leave only those 3 plugins enabled, and switch to the TwentyFifteen or Storefront theme and give it a try then. If it works with plugins disabled, you have a plugin that is conflicting somewhere. If it works with the default themes (2015/Storefront) then something you did to your Avada installation is causing some issues, and heaven help me to try and figure out what you did so you’d be on your own there. 🙂

    Cheers

    Ben

    Hi Martin,

I updated to the latest WooCommerce for you. The problem still exists with StoreFront and no other plugins active other than the bare necessities.

However, I did notice one thing. If you upload a PNG to your website for the store banner, avatar, or product, it works fine no problems. Check out the idcrafter store. You’ll see the banner and avatars set.

However, if you try with a JPG image, it fails.

This means there is an issue with your WordPress Media Library. What is the problem, though, and how to fix it? We have no idea. I googled, I tested, I looked at all your settings, there’s no reason it shouldn’t work. It must be a webserver issue. There’s no other possible cause for this to be a problem. WC Vendors Pro does not care if it’s a jpg, png, gif, or anything as long as its an image. It’s your webserver that is rejecting it……. 🙁

    Hello Ben,

I have contacted my hosting provider about this problem. They asked for the specification requirement for WC Vendors. I also tried to look for solution since morning, still no clue.

    Thank you so much, Ben.

Specs are easy for us — PHP 5.4+, GD, ImageMagick.

    Hi Ben,

I have asked hosting provider. They don’t have ImageMagick, but they have GD. Do you think that ImageMagick is the problem that cause the image .jpg issue?

They say that GD might could cover ImageMagick as an alternative so there won’t be problem. But incase that it is the cause, I have to move. *sigh

    How do you think Ben?
