    Hi Ben & Anna,

If I use woocommerce smart coupons to offer buyers a $5 fixed cart coupon at checkout when buying a product from a vendor, can I set it so that myself will “eat” the cost of the discount and the seller will receive the full amount for a sale. For instance if I take a 30% commission from each sale, can I have it so the coupon only effects my commission and not the vendors?

    Hope that makes sense.

    Thanks
    Adam

    Hi guys,

Really need an answer to this question urgently, I know there are a lot of questions here, but just incase my question gets missed, I’m commenting again.

    Thanks
    Adam

I am sorry to say that at this time, this cannot be done without the vendor commissions being calculated incorrectly.
Site wide coupons are not yet supported. Hopefully in the future we will be able to support side wide coupons (also those that would affect the admin commission vs the vendor commissions), but until we have re-written the way commissions are calculated, we can only support the vendor coupons built into Pro.

    Hi Anna,

Thank you very much for replying and clarifying that.

I did read this part of the documentation which says that want I want to do is possible, but I would have to collaborate with the sellers so they can create coupons/codes (which wouldn’t be a problem).

Am I understanding correctly from this :-

    Configuring your Commissions.

Also on this page is the Coupon Action. If you allow Vendors to issue coupons, this determines who takes the hit for the coupon charge. If you choose “After”, that means the Vendor gets the total price including the coupons discount. If you choose Before, it means the vendor gets the total price ignoring the coupons discount, which means the admin takes the commission hit.

    Thanks
    Adam
