Sorry to add onto this, thought better than to do a new thread as it may help others.
Added this to child product-edit, working great, used a custom meta (wholesale price) which I’m stoked about.
How/Which template do I add this to – to make this an option on each variation? Ideally near the price boxes. I don’t see an obvious template file to edit.
Sorry to tag onto an old thread but it may be useful for others like me who were searching, seems like an easy solution just out of grasp.
Also using ‘WooCommerce Wholesale Prices’, their free versions does everything required. Adds a wholesale price field to the backend and displays only to user role ‘Wholesale customer’, also includes regular price for them to compare on single product page.
Just need to add it into product-edit.php
I’ve looked at the kb add custom fields but cannot get it to work. Not sure if that’s because the field already exists. The plugin uses “wc_wholesale_prices”
Ah! Ok sorry, thought it was yours. Will follow up with them.
I went through this process the other week, the first few screens are different but ‘the application’ part (which is the part you really need) is the same. I can’t recall offhand how I got to the right screen though.
Awesome thanks, thanks for explaining your process too.
Can I delete this thread 😉 ?
Didn’t want to make a new thread but let me know if i should.
Can I change the shop name url from: yourdomain.com/vendors/shop-name to: yourdomain.com/vendors/shopname
Need to drop that % I don’t mind changing it and manually updating with new updates.
For the slug – I’ve ended up using 301 redirects so each user has a cleaner url to direct customers – messy solution i know but with minimal users (20-30) it’s a manual thing I’ll have to do when people sign up. I googled and found ways to hide slugs in custom post types but that doesn’t apply. Like you said this is a wordpress core thing so aren’t asking for help just fyi. Important for my site as I’m the umbrella but most customers will type in url to direct vendor shops.
No worries cheers ben and thanks for the quick reply.
Wasn’t sure as postname doesn’t have a slug so thought it might be possible.
